Pretty dece
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Winnipeg, MB - 4 janvier 2023
Avis en vedette
L'avis le plus utile, sélectionné par IndeedTypical day of work consisted of greeting customers, ringing them through, assisting them with finding/recommending products, and assisting them in the fitting rooms. Management definitely had favourites. Also a little bit of a toxic workplace when I was there (felt like I was in high school again).

Genuinely the Most Toxic Environment I’ve Ever Worked at.
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Ottawa, ON - 16 août 2022
If you want to work here as a student, prepare to be working throughout lectures without management being understanding of or willing to comply with student employment laws. Beyond this, lead management presented us with their favourite staff members upon the new-hire meeting. If you don’t fit the part aesthetically, they will make you feel like an outsider, gradually reducing your shifts until you leave. Attempted to open up about chronic illness and mental health to management, and was told I was lying and being dramatic, “not a team player”. Never stepping foot near this place again.
Points positifs
None.
Points négatifs
Horrible management, cliquey, few wonderful colleagues

Fun workplace, loved the people I worked with
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Toronto, ON - 6 juillet 2022
The Queen St location was by far the best store to work at. I loved the people I worked with and the managers were chill and flexible. There’s always something to do so it never got too boring.

Love this job
Sales Associate (Employé actuel) - Mississauga, ON - 4 juillet 2022
Pros: -coworkers and assistant managers are fun to work with especially since we're all about the same age. -generous discounts -work is always chill until weekends and sale on sale promotions come in downsides: -A certain person will always be watching your every move so whenever that person is around, every employees' moods switch up to depressed, on-guard, and uncomfortable -no shifts. this job pays higher than min wage but we don't ever get hours. Even though your availability is everyday from open-close, you'll literally only get scheduled to work 1 5hr shift a week -no room for advancement since only 4 full timers are allowed to be hired and those spots are already filled

Fun part time job
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - London, ON - 29 mai 2022
This is the perfect for students looking for a part time job with flexible hours. I was easily able to set the hours I wanted to work and my managers followed them fully.
Points positifs
Good employee discount on items

Sales Associate (Employé actuel) - Calgary, AB - 10 mai 2022
Great place to work and great coworkers however, very little hours since the staff is humungous !!! It’s a great first job/ casual job but it’s definitely not part time and definitely not the best if you want to make a lot of money

It was okay. I enjoyed it at the begninning but after sometime it became more stressful and a drag to go to work.
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Vancouver, BC - 14 avril 2022
Often felt overwhelmed with some customers because I get a bit anxious sometimes. Other than that management is good and coworkers seem nice. I wish we had more breaks especially when you have a full shift. You're only given one tiny break if your shift is less than 5.5 hours.

Sales Associate (Employé actuel) - toronto, on - 7 avril 2022

Chill environment
Sales Associate (Employé actuel) - Chinook, AB - 23 mars 2022
literally like any other retail workplace. I mainly recommend it to teens who wanna make a little cash on the side or anyone really. it's a chill environment, just very dead and barely any shifts during the slow months (jan-april/may)

Productive and fun !
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Toronto, ON - 23 décembre 2021
I worked at the Queen/Spadina location as a sales associate and this is probably the BEST location in the city to work at! i will never forget the relationships i made with my coworkers plus management does a pretty good job at make u feel included and head! you’re always busy on the job too so time goes by faster! u could be doing a lot of things like working from upstairs to downstairs and then hopping on cash!
Points positifs
Free food/drinks from neighbouring stores, managers who listen to your needs, opportunity to make friends with like minded people, productive, a large lunchbreak area, always felt welcomed, 40% discount on clothes!
Points négatifs
Maybe 1 manager who was kinda mean lol

Even as a Seasonal, it was a good place to work
Sales Associate (Seasonal) (Ancien employé) - Edmonton, AB - 11 novembre 2021
Honestly it was a great place to work, everyone is always happy to be there. Co-workers and managers are fun to be around. Sometimes the customers were a bit rude but that’s what retail working is.
Points positifs
Friendly coworkers, Employee discount
Points négatifs
Always on your feet

fun place to work for students
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Montréal, QC - 13 septembre 2021
you can showcase your style, very welcoming management. fun music and not stressful for a retail job. great for students that want flexible part time schedules. not a career job in my opinion but a nice place to gain some experience
Points positifs
nice atmosphere
Points négatifs
minimum wage, standing job

Terrible management nice people
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Mississauga, ON - 27 août 2021
Probably one of the worst jobs I had they didn’t pay me for over a month and said they didn’t know where my money is. Nice coworkers and cute environment but the management is known to be disorganized and I agree. They also schedule for shifts the day before which isn’t practical. Save the stress and don’t work here
Points positifs
No uniform
Points négatifs
Unorganized management

fun work place with great people
Sales associate (Ancien employé) - polo park, MB - 18 mai 2020
I enjoyed the job and the people. everyone was very helpful, the management team was very friendly and welcoming. I had improved at working at fast paced and crowded environments here.

High-school-like environment
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Toronto, ON - 18 mai 2020
While it is mostly like a standard retail experience, the young age of the sales associate can make this environment feel more like high school than a workplace. The quality of any given UO is all dependant on the quality of the store managers, and luckily mine were amazing.

Lovely managers. Great working environment
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Vancouver, BC - 16 mars 2020
I enjoyed working at Urban Outfitters with lovely managers. They truly care about individual workers. The employee discount has great deal, but it's a minimum wage job.

do NOT work here
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Montréal, QC - 8 mars 2020
extremely toxic work environment. i've seen otherwise nice people turn into bitter negative people once they became employees here. typical day at urban outfitters montreal involves receiving unnecessary and condescending attitudes from the managers, being pressured to repeatedly annoy customers and pretending to be busy. everyone always complains about how bad the job is which makes the environment generally very negative.
male managers make the environment all the more toxic as they are in their late 20s/early 30s and pick fights/throw shade at 18-22 year old girls. they give you written warnings WITHOUT telling you so you can randomly find yourself with 3 written warnings and on the brink of getting fired and be completely unaware of it.
you also have to go through a bag check for every single time you leave the store. including on your lunch break. already punched out for your 30minute break? too bad, you'll have to lose 15 minutes of that break waiting for a manager as they take their sweet time to bag check you.
the environment amongst the employees isn't as bad as it is with the managers, but the employees are very cliquey and will have absolutely no problem with making you feel like you dont exist as they don't even respond when you say hi. there is also a lot of drama concerning the employees, which is the only "good" part about this job considering it's very entertaining to see literal adults act like high school freshmen. if you think you'll be able to stay on the outskirts of the drama at this job, you're in for something because people have a blast making -

It was ok
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Winnipeg, MB - 4 mars 2020
I liked working at Urban Outfitters because it was a steady job however they gave the seasonal employees hours and cut mine back for two months after having awarded me as a good employee so their motives are backwards. Management can be rude.

Sales Associate
Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Vancouver, BC - 18 février 2020
For the most part, management was very understanding and coworkers were easy to get along with. Great employee discount too. However, workdays were either extremely slow or way too stressful. I wish we had more breaks though.
