Malgré la gestion un peu douteuse, l'ambiance au Urban Outfitters est très calme et accueillante. Entre employés, il y a beaucoup de respect. C'est l'endroit parfait pour se faire des amis!

It was okay, low pay rate and not enough hours. My co-workers were pretty nice and cool to hang with during working hours. But I do feel like corporate needs to change its values when it comes down to clothing sizes for guests.

What is the best part of working at the company?It WAS the people. But the good ones are mostly gone now. It’s just a place to work these days. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Stress was self imposed because of the freedom you had when running your “business”. It was an awesome place to work but quickly corporatized and went downhill soon after. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Woke. If you want a fun job that’s rewarding (in the sense of actual work you do) go somewhere else. Work here if pushing buttons and constantly challenging non work related societal causes unrelated to the business your actually being paid to do is your passion. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Used to be fun. Covid and social justice ruined all that.

you’ll usually be working in fitting room putting go backs away until you work your way up to cashier or packing orders in the mornings. hours are only good during summer and holiday.

Duties are clear for the most part, so you know what to expect every day. A lot of the staff was very fun to work with, and during your time there you will probably make a lot of friends.

If you like fashion and retail, Urban Outfitters is a great job for you. Team members made me feel very welcome. You also get to see everyone's different styles and personalities through what they wear and how casual the environment is. It makes you feel more comfortable and like a team. Everyone supports each other at Urban with clear and concise communication. Although it can get crazy during weekends and holidays, if you enjoy assisting customers and maintaining a store with fashionable clothes, this is the choice for you.

Typical day of work consisted of greeting customers, ringing them through, assisting them with finding/recommending products, and assisting them in the fitting rooms. Management definitely had favourites. Also a little bit of a toxic workplace when I was there (felt like I was in high school again).

I enjoyed working with the team but the communication from head office was appealing, work load was insane and they had no care/regard for you as individuals, you’re just there to make money to them. Pay was decent compared to other retailers but was not enough to compensate for how stressful everyday was, towards the end of my time there, I dreaded going to work and was so happy to leave. I would discourage anyone from working for urban outfitters.

Toxic Work Environment – Ignored Store Level Sexism Even After Bringing to Florida District Brand Leader BF

Underpaid management with too high of expectations. Zero real support from Home Office or upper management. The only way UO stores survive is by hiring privileged young people to work essentially for the discount and hoping to find a couple people passionate (naive?) enough and hard working that will stick around for a couple years (then leave when they are burnt out and traumatized).Store 096 was exceptionally toxic due to leadership (specifically the Store Manager at the time and District Brand Leader who is still with the company – both were friends at the time). Many reports were made but approached from a male-lense with gaslighting and manipulation. Nothing ever actually changed unless it benefited leadership or the store. Retention is horrible because of this and responsibility falls on those who actually need the job and have some remaining passion. Avoid the UO Florida district at all costs.

I found this company a bit of an uphill battle, no matter how hard you try your efforts do not get recognised and you will not progress. The team were left to encourage and motivate each other on their own and there was a lack of support from higher management.

Awful people complete disregard for staff members without a high position and play favourites massively. Pay is okay but not outstanding, never get replies to any contact tried to make with managers you will have to confront them in person. So glad I left.
