The company and management maintains a loose restriction as to maintenance technicians work performed once projects are assigned to each individual. Budgets and time frames are negotiated once estimates are handed in. A certain amount of time is allowed for such issues as day to day emergencies and schedules of outside contractors when project updates are required.
Upper management allows for unforeseen situations that may appear once a project commences which then affects budgets, time frames and materials.
Overall management consists of descent, experienced individuals and staff are very personable and overall a very positive work environment. A 'good bunch of people ' to work with.

Avoid at all costs

Very disorganized, you get your weeks shifts at 9 or 11 pm the Sunday before so you have no idea when you work. They will not pay overtime and will avoid giving you benefits at all costs. Management won't fire drunk drivers but if you damage a door and offer to replace it they fire you. They aren't against forcing 12 or even 13 hour shifts but no overtime is payed. Health and safety are disregarded completely. If you value your rights as an employee, don't work here.

That place is chaotic people smoking a joint to chill disorders and disorganized no team work every body goes for the easy job laziness and bad attitudes overall not a good place to work I was not happy being there

Will make you work full time hours, but will only list you as part time so you don't get the benefits package. Very little to no opportunity for advancement. You'll be working every holiday and weekend. The only day they close is Christmas.

max work for min pay

Min wage job that "doesn't have enough payroll" to hire enough folks to do the job. Don't worry, they will keep your hours just under the full time, to avoid bumping you to FT status and not pay out benefits. You will also be expected to do several jobs at once, with very little or no support/backup.

A typical day at work would be overseeing that the daily operations and goals are being met. Keeping the areas clean and stocked, and operational, managing the scheduling log, and serving customers for truck, trailer and storage rentals.
I learned to be strong, organized, confident, and to listen to the customer and find the right solution for the situation. I also learned to install hitches. The workplace culture, is diverse and can be fun when we make it fun, we do rely on each other to stay positive on very busy and stressful days and always have the communication open between each other as well as my own management team. The hardest part of the job is making sure we have the right equipment for all our reservations and not taking anything personal when there are upset and stressed customers, as moving is the number one stress in peoples lives. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with a great team, learning new things, and the daily change that keeps the job fresh.

Promised raise, never came. Promise bonuses, never seen any. Won storage rental contest 3 months in a row, each month was extended. Apparently I had benefits, didnt receive anything until 2 weeks after resignation (5 months in, apparently had them at 3 months).

they don't treat employees with respect

Other uHaul employees don't/can't treat you with respect when calling EMPLOYEE SUPPORT. all they want is the money they have no care for how the employees get treated when uHaul upsets a customer because they just move peoples rentals around without letting the customer know.

Terrible place to work . Was hired on . Started orientation caked a week and a half after to find out when I was staring and they told me they didn’t have the time to train anyone and now there’s a posting and has been one up since . I feel that these people are terrible to work for . How can you hire someone wait almost two weeks and not even call them then tell them you don’t have the time to train . I have put on a complaint to the labour board U-Haul is a joke and no one should work for these losers

I would give 0 stars if I could. I started off as a part time CSR and was made general manager when ours left. At first it was alright, but they always expect you to be at the store. If you work for U-Haul you are theirs and you're not allowed to have a life outside your job or you will be shunned for it. All they do is belittle you and when you ask for help they make you feel like you're stupid and that you should already know what to do. There are NO pros to this job. DO NOT APPLY HERE IT WILL SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF YOU
