Overall a great place to work, management listen to staff. I really miss working in the company. Truiloo had the model of "treating the staff in a way that they will never want to leave" I would of stayed much longer but I had to leave because of personal issues .

On the surface, this seems like a truly cool company. Their product serves a great need, they have a mission beyond profits, they are growing, and they have some of the surface trappings of many other tech companies in Vancouver (ping pong, free lunches, snacks, a youthful culture, open concept office).

But under that surface, it gets truly awful. It has a stressful environment with a lot of outdated policies. You have to tap in and out every time you come in or leave the office (those movements are recorded). You can't work from home. No doggies in this office. The management seems distant and unapproachable. Onboarding is a joke. And while they have stock options, that's a long off benefit (if you stick around) with immediate benefits and salaries being very poor.

You will find really great colleagues, but if you look around the office, most of the staff are either very junior or are very new to Canada. They hire people who have a need for the job because they can pay them peanuts, only offer two weeks of vacation, and a sick day policy that WILL make you sick (because when someone gets sick, they come in anyway for fear of getting fired or because they wonder "what if I get sicker later in the year and actually can't come in?").

There are bright spots and opportunities for this company, but until they stop their 1950s sweatshop policies, go somewhere else.

Great company with a lot of potential. It's been scaling in terms of business and employee growth for the past few years. While it is successful, its current biggest challenge is learning to transition from a small startup to a growing scale-up.

Aside from the compensation and benefits package in which it is pretty average in my area, the people there are great, the product is great, the company is making money, and the people there do enjoy each other's company. Work life balance is also outstanding.
Points positifs
Free lunches, work life balance
Points négatifs
compensation and benefits package
