I originally interviewed for a sewing position. The personal manager had me sit at the industrial sewing machine, and sew a lined pattern. I've never used an industrial sewing machine, and found it difficult to get used to. They advertised that they were looking for home sewers, which I was. So I found this a little unfair to expect me to handle are large, fast sewing machine. The manager continued to ask me questions while I was sewing, which distracted me. She told me that she would call within the week, but I never heard from her again.
A while later, the very nice manager, who I originally interviewed with, asked me if I was still looking for work, and said that there was a temporary position available, and would I like to interview for that. I did, and was offered a job. They also said that it would most likely lead to a permanent position. When I spoke with the hiring manager about needing time off for surgery which was scheduled for after my temporary contract was done, she treated me like I was trash, and told me that they would not be considering me for a permanent position after my temporary contract. I left immediately!
Everyone was so nice but that one personal manager!
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not until they wise up, and get rid of the personal manager. Just because a person has been with the company for a long time doesn't mean that the person is able to handle a management position.
