I have worked for Ticketmaster for a long time. It has been a fantastic job while in school, with very flexible hours. The management is wonderful and the coworkers are great. Gets a little stressful when customers are upset but over all just a great, chill job for students. You only really work when there are events so you don't really get enough shifts to survive just on Ticketmaster, but its a nice extra bit of income.
flexible hours, great management
not many shifts per month
Great training and help from various people in the compagny. If job done well, great chance of moving up. Job is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Great help in the box office itself if you have a problem with customers or questions during hours.
Loved working at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. It was a fun stress free environment. Got to meet great people and many perks like seeing events and opportunities to grow within the company.
Great hours to work

The fantastic skills in customer service that I have learned at Ticketmaster are unprecedented and i will continue to use those skills in my day to day life.
guaranteed job every hockey season
no hours in the summer
Typical day at work consists of going to whichever venue you are scheduled to, log into computer system, count cash, help customers choose and purchase tickets according to each event. Learned a good balance of computer systems and customer service skills while on the job. Co-workers are friendly and supportive. Hardest part of the job is either giving away shifts or working on at an extremely popular event. Most enjoyable part of the job is working with positive, friendly co-workers.
Great people to work with
Not consistent hours and long commute downtown
Working in a small box office makes it easy for you to get to know your co workers very well. sometimes you fight like family but they also have your back when you need them, also just like a family. the management is very good at their job and they teach you well, especially if you aren't good at working with computers. they have a system that literally looks like computer code. if you are unfamiliar with computer code its a whole new language you need to learn and they help you along the way. a typical day is you and a couple people in the box office talking to customers about upcoming events. you are also selling them tickets to these in person and over the phone.
Althought the staff was friendly and the hours were very flexible the environment was loud, uncomfortable, and stressful. The company didn't pay well at $10.00 an hour; for dealing with rude people which would scream and fight with you on the phone....I thought the pay could have been higher.
flexible work hours
