Overall the job is very basic fast food job featuring the same tasks daily. Enter the job with a small skill set that expands over time for the job. Most enjoyable part of the job was the positive customer interactions.
1 50% off meal on the day you work
Sometimes extremly long hours
it's great and normal. we have a fun time and interact with the customers. regular customers spend a lot of time with at the store and cash handling is easy.
Staff are great and depending on the manager the shift will go well or you will be stressed out. Hard to get advancement here. No raises here ever and if your one of the lucky ones that some how manage to get one it’s only 10 cents
50% off and great staff and some managers
Not paid enough for what you have to deal with here.
A typical day consisted of taking orders, exchanging money, delivering orders, cleaning/upkeep of the dinning room and restrooms. Management for the most part was very rude and was certainly the hardest part of the job. I learned valuable customer service and time management skills.
I had a lot of fun at Wendys. The people made the job worth it. I do feel like you're paid little for what you do. Most days I'd be working almost every post due to lack of employees and I'd still be getting payed for just the one post I work at.
First job I had. Learned valuable professional skills, learned to be tolerable of fast paced environments. Good atmosphere, consistent work. Worked both Kenmount and Topsail. Kenmount was great, friendly managment who give you training and are patient. Topsail was awful, never ever apply there. The management is horrible to you.
Easy work, Consistent work, never bored, good atmosphere
pay could be higher, stressful at times especially working with kids
grill position is the worst- this position is for the superman- specially when your manager does not know how to distribute workload, depends on the store owner/manager, Sometime manager hire more people, than comes less shifts, only the favourable persons get more hours, so depends on the owner or manager how he/she manages the store, so be aware before joining, and know your job responsibilities well, they want to pay less but you will be overloaded with works.
chaos and insanity is the two words that come to mind when I think about Wendys. Morning shift people were typically cranky and just wanted to go on their one 1/2 unpaid break. Team was overall boisterous with one another. work was done but it was hard to stay focus sometimes. night crew was laid back and manage to do alot more than in the morning staff did.
Worked for about two years. Staff touched bacon with bare hands and cross contaminated cheese and bacon on the grill. Would take off tomatoes rather than make a new burger even if it was an allergy. Favoritism. Managers spreading rumors about employees with other employees. A lot of Managers unable to take responsibility. Rude customers. Only thing that made it bearable was two of my co-workers.
