This job is fast paced, can be stressful, but overall fun. If you are looking for a fun first job I recommend applying. The people are firendly and are always willing to help you learn and grow at your job, and you are not always on the same station (once you complete your training).

i worked just about every position they had at wendys during my time there and overall the set up was inefficient. we were constantly understaffed because management didn't care about employee well-being so many people quit.
Only work at Icomm Drive if you absolutely need the cash and can't find anywhere else to work. This is most toxic work environment I have ever worked at. GM acts like a highschool student from gossiping to general passive aggressiveness when you don't worship them.
general manager, harassment, drama, gossip, being overworked
The management didn't care that I was a student and would stiff me on hours because I couldn't come in due to class. Management was petty and would punish you for requesting a day off by cutting your hours for the next 2-3 weeks. The petty drama among managers had a negative effect on my experience. Their favourite employees could do whatever they wanted like wear nail polish and speak rudely to customers, but regular staff were expected to be professional at all times.
Drama, heat exposure, and unfair scheduling
Had lots of fun while I worked there, but also got my work done. Got to learn different things and I enjoyed learning and doing new things. Even though it was a short time period working there, it was a great place to work even though I didn't know everyone that long.
Got to meet new people
Work environment is good, people are pleasant to work with. However, there are long shifts with the minimum amount of breaks. The job can become stressful at times, especially in the summer with hot working conditions.
long hours, little breaks
Wendy's provides a good place to work for those still in school but management needs to be more understanding about students school schedules. The Wendy's I was at gave you less hours as a punishment if you needed to take a day off. For example if you took of a day for a doctors appointment you could expect only one shift for the next 2-3 weeks. Unacceptable.
I would just do yourself a favor and keep looking, if the managers arent yelling at people to work its because they are busy talking with each other about which employees they dont like, as well as im pretty sure they are sexist, there is no males on the management team and the only people that moved up in the year i worked there were woman.
long hours, bad pay, no benefits, stole money from paycheck
Not a hard job to get the hang of, it is an easy job to do that can easily be worked around your schedule. It is easy to work here as a student, or someone who has other priorities. I personally found that management were not properly trained to deal with certain situations.
Working in a high volume restaurant. Introducing new products and procedures as needed. Shift walk thru's and essential part of maintaining that image store look. Enjoyed teaching and training managers on proper procedure of restaurant and gaining there help in controlling food and labor cost.
-when i get in there in the morning i clean the fryers ans take out the garbage from the night before. -working here made me learn to deal with stress under pressure and made me a good cleaner its really dirty there. -Managers are not always fair but they try wendys can get stressful. -Co-workers are easy to work with and fun to work with. -The hardest part of this job is doing grill open on Fridays because were really busy. -The easiest part of this job is makeing salads in the mourning ,its easy and fresh.
A busy environment, especially during meal- time hours made the day pass very quickly. Management was extremely fair and approachable. Any ideas or problems were listened to and a response was given, the store was very much "family" . Co-workers worked well as a team, everyone willing to "pitch in and help" where required. I don't consider that there was a "hard part" of working at Wendy's, however working short-staffed when someone called in ill gave extra pressure on the rest to maintain the excellent service the customers came to expect. Having never worked in a fast-food restaurant before this experience, I was amazed to see such a variety of age groups do so very well in a fast paced setting. The employees seemed to be in their teens to semi-retired persons. I truly enjoyed my position as hostess at Wendy's, we all worked hard and it was fun! I made many new friends there, most of whom I still stay in touch with today. I had to leave for personal reasons at that time .
