Overall i disliked my experience there, your schedule is over 3 weeks+ in advance and you have sales quotas that are very unreasonable to some extents, I found that they promoted salesmen over leaders, Just because you are good at selling doesn't mean you should run or manage a store.

A very cell/cable/satellite sales centered company.

The only thing this company wants out of their employees is to push customers into contracts. Lied to about benefits, lied to about position in store and when 6 months of working full time comes around paperwork says part time...
Constantly changing the commission structure as well. 4 times in 1 year... Crazy...
Can do thousands of dollars in physical sales but if you don't sell cell phones, satellite, or cable you have to write full essays on why and how your going to improve...
All this constant badgering of customers means no traffic in the stores...

Overall it's been a great experience

The Source does an incredible job of helping sales associates succeed in store. The training and ongoing opportunities and bonuses make it engaging everyday you go to work. The manager at the Midland location is always level headed and fair in how he handles employee needs.
The biggest struggle I've faced is trying to enter the corporate field of the company. For some reason the internal communication regarding moving associates to corporate when they have the qualifications is quite poor or so I've found.

I enjoy working at the Source. The people in the complanyhave always treated me with kindness, and always were helpful when I needed assistance. I've never been in a sales competitive job but they helped me and gave me all the tools to allow me to be successful in the workplace. It can be hard sometimes to reach targets but management and associates are there to help you give tips and tricks on how to be successful and not bas you down.

The job was great, a lot of flexibility in regards to hours. Management and my coworkers are great to work with/chat with during down time. The hardest part of the job is the fact that you're required to "sell Bell." Doesn't matter what the customers are coming in for, we'd be required to find a way to cross-sell them over to wireless, and try to convert them. That is also the most enjoyable part, having a customer come back, and saying their service is working better than it did before always warms my heart.

To work at the source you basically have to LIVE at the source. You have to live and breathe the source. If you don’t get your numbers it’s basically the end of your hours. It’s competitive pay too. Your employees can get very greedy with sales too especially if there’s a decent commission on it. Overall the commission is amazing around Christmas but after that it’s not good at all. The managers really only care about your sales and if you don’t reach them you can actually get written up. You have to make sure you shove products down customers throats. Lots of standing around too. Don’t miss working there. The discounts suck. The only good discount is the bell bill one. You save 35% off your bell bill.

working at the head office is alright but the department i was in had no manager when i came on and the manager that did come on had little knowledge he was outsourced hired and often interrupted work at times to try and learn how the job was done. only worked here for the season.

Very nasty district manager in this region - talks down to women. Does not take concerns seriously and laughs about them. Unprofessional. District manager would call us about 15 times in a day, including on our personal phones, if our post-paid cellphone numbers were down. You have to have 3 meetings in a month about your targets. Also, there is not really any chance to move up unless your numbers are emaculate.

A typical day at work involves clocking in and immediately being requited to perform "training" on your smartphone, generally just covering box details of new products. One thing of many that you're essentially being "graded" on. General sales rally will include how everyone still needs to do better, get better numbers, do better, push harder. Constant "take, take, take" mentality, very little reward for your work, management is very overbearing, forcing a pushy sales mentality that doesn't take the customer's actual feelings into care, only incentive is to sell for Bell. Horrible hivemind atmosphere. Only enjoyable part of the job is the potential for close-knit staff, though rarely happens due the the obvious competitive nature of the job. Could be a 10/10 workplace if it wasn't 100% dedicated to Bell.
