The toxic environment caused the employee to resort to back stabbing. And doing whatever in their power to come on top in terms of sales. There was little to no training in activating phones, and you were expected to activate sim cards for customers.

I would recommend The Source anyday. Warm colleagues and ready to help. The team leads are usually ready to help anytime. Working environment is top notch.

I learned so much when I was employed with The source. They taught me how to deal with difficult customers and how to improve my skills with other clients and how to sell based on what the customer needs and wants.

A typical shift involves: punching into your shift, reviewing your promotions everyday since the promotions on the hottest deals are constantly changing & assist customers or organize once your on the sales floor until the end of the shift. With what I learned working there is that consumers constantly want to be up to date with the latest tech. Especially when it comes to cellphones or smart home devices, technology is constantly evolving & everyone wants the most up to date tech that establishes their needs more efficiently & effortlessly. Management involves scheduling & selling to hit your quota. the more you sell, the more hours you receive. Although my complaint about scheduling at times is they would often give me shifts on days where I'm not supposed to work and they barely notify me 24 hours in advanced that I'd be working that day. The culture of the workplace is that everyone is also willing to help each other, especially when it comes to explaining promotions or how a certain product works to establish a customers needs whenever they prompt these questions. The hardest part about the job is constantly being up to date with the promotions since we are also owned by Bell. Since it's essential to know both Bell & Virgin Mobile promotions, they also help leading up to selling the numerous electronics we sell at The Source that compliment selling cellphones or even other tech. What i find most enjoyable about the job is trying out the new demos we usually receive in store. The Source is a great place to work. Great culture, nice commission frame. However, my experience was particularly bad due to 1 employee. I wouldn't go for any names, however, but when a nit picky old employee has been with the company for several years, it is time to shorten the grass. If you'd like to know where: The Source @ White Rock. No complaints on anything, all other employees were understanding and great. Store manager was welcoming as well. The Source @ White Rock

Treated me like family, always wanted to wake up and get to work early.. always new things to learn. taught me how not to be shy and come out of my shell and how to become a better salesperson!

I was taught so much i loved working at the source. being at the head office gave me the strength to speak to anyone and get up and do anything. All the people i worked with were so great and made me feel welcome right away. And all the team leaders were just so easy to get along with. if i could go back i would It's just a very open Space. Your aloud on your phone well working aslong as you are not on a call. which gave me freedom and i really did enjoy that Which is understandable if you are on the phone don't be on ur phone .

the source does not engage in employees whatsoever. they focus on hups and nacs and seem to really struggle finding a balance with that structure of cell sales first. Maybe back to basics?

answering calls, assisting in completing tasks, while assisting customers in resolving their concerns making them comfortable ordering on line. I would enjoy this opportunity again

Thankful for this opportunity. I did my best to use my knowledge of electronics to help my customers find a suitable product for their needs, if I was unsure I would ask my coworkers for their recommendations or do additional research.

a typical day at work is been on the sales floor talking to customers, dusting and organizing stock. i have learned from this job to be patient. management overall is not good, in 2 years i had 5 different managers. which half of them were ok or didnt care about the job and didnt encourage us to do better. the hardest part about the job is trying to make your quota in a month. the most enjoyable part of the job is the paycheck and that you can have fun while working.

While employed as a Customer Service Representative at The Source , I learned how to be a team player, as well as a punctual salesman. I used my time management skills to receive stock when I wasn't needed on the sales floor. A successful sale always led to a good day. Which happened to be both the hardest , and most enjoyable parts of the job. Working for The Source I learned the importance of caring for one another .

I loved this job and miss it very much. The manager was absolutely amazing and so was the staff. I learnt about how to run a store and how to train other new managers for their own stores. The hardest part of the job was leaving actually and the best part of the job was how wonderful the team worked together.

I enjoy the personal interaction with the customers/members and assisting them with their banking needs. I was also doing meeting arrangements with catering, which i enjoyed doing very much.

I am an individual who is always looking for new skills to learn. Being able to help people with their Retail concerns has been the most rewarding experiences I have ever felt. Incredible part time job opportunity to make a large amount of capital quickly while attending university; although the stress to go along with a position like this is real. Must have a basic understanding of sales techniques to work in this environment, however there is not a large enough body of talent to cover these lucrative positions generating internal stress on the existing employees. Management and co-workers are playful and understand this stress exists, therefore it is a great team based environment.

I've had terrible jobs in the past it had made me appreciate working here more so than the rest however this is still a job with it's disappointments. Though this place did show me that there were good versus bad products, this just came with the knowledge learned from the job. Many of what I already knew and could have assumed from the products were common sense. Working here definitely gave me the chance to know when the right time to purchase expensive items was. The items that are often needed to function other products are priced at such a ridiculous amount. Management and coworkers try and get along, but as they all try it will eventually become extremely boring while you're on your feet for the remaining hours of the day until the end of your shift. There is also an expectation to meet a certain goal/sales quota therefore the tense sense of competition feeds off into the environment. Coworker might have an unfair advantage for several reasons and then get the customer to purchase the item from them. Oblivious customers who don't even know the difference to some cables at times. Just insane. "Come on, are you kidding me." Kinds of moments.

learned what was like to work on commission. learned about daily goals, to get a bigger commission management was good co workers were friendly easy to talk to part of job, not being so shy to be able to obtain my daily goal most enjoyable part, meeting people. helping customers.
