Room to advance
Ability to create and showcase new dishes
Lots of hours
Ability to work different sections
Able to work in the off season is a bonus
Tips are a special bonus as well
Just overall a terrible place to work. The tips are decent, but very long hours, zero appreciation and zero empathy towards employees.
Constant yelling and judgement from management, never positive reenforcement. Both kitchen and front of house are miserable.
I came to the Epicurean in May of 2018 with the intention of only being there for the season and here I am one year later. With great excitement I look forward to the coming months. I have never seen business owners more passionate and committed in giving their customers who visit from all over the world an unparalleled and exceptional dining experience.
A nasty unhealthy environment, liars, dishonest and much more. Stay away. They should close it. Filthy and disgusting. The owners' attitude it is unbearable screaming constantly and humiliating in front of the customers.
Overall it was a typical summer waitressing job in Niagara on the Lake. Expectations are high as it is a more ritzy tourist spot. Sometimes the kitchen was chaos but that comes with all restaurant working.
Great people to work with, chef and manager are both fantastic.
Everyone treats you like family, good hours and well rounded work life
hardest part of job is the stress that comes with the busy season and balancing your work friendships with doing your job.
