Overall a TERRIBLE place to work. This company starts you at minimum wage with no hourly raise only commission raises which are impossible to get. I’ve worked for this company for almost a year (to long) and didn’t see a single raise or incentive to work up to a raise. Nor did I ever reach commission. Over the course of 7 months 5 people had quit one of them being the manager, we went 2 months without a manager and there was only 8 of us working there to begin with. And aside from being short staffed the company decided to CUT 10 hours each a week, with no explanation. Also expect to get paid “semi monthly” the company has no set days on when you get paid it’s “up to 5 business days after the 1st and up to 5 after the 15th” making it extremely hard to commission on a 15 day stretch and even harder to manage bills. Upon getting hired I was promised easy raises and a “$2,000 hire in bounds” that I never received and I was also promised education that I’ve never got. Also the company isn’t 100% owned by the beautiful group it is still partially owned by Regis Corp. Regis still sends the product for retail and back bar and they have decided overall to stop sending product. Our salon hasn’t Received a shipment sense January and it is now almost June. And the upper management forces the salon to be open 12 hours a day 6 days a week including Saturday so be prepared to work every single Saturday night. I could go on for days about why no one should work for this company. I am a relatively new stylist and there have been days where this company makes me not even want to continue - plus...

Run as fast as you can.
No product

Clients walking out the door not in

Salon closers with no warnings

More like the ugly group!

Maybe if the management as much time doing their jobs As they are posting things this would be a better place

Stylist/Sales Associate (Ancien employé) - Canada
I worked for this company for just over a year. at first it was exciting and new! the stylists and manager were so helpful teaching me new tricks as I was fairly new to the industry. I however have a young family. At first they were more than happy to work with our family schedules as my husband works full time shift work. all was going well I worked evenings and Saturdays when my husband was able to be home with our family as child care in our area was far from easy to find. after a year of working with the company I had come in and our manager had 6 weeks of schedules done up. I was scheduled to work evenings and weekends when clearly she knew well in advance I could not work certain ones. When I brought this up to her, she told me this was not working... I had no notice what so ever that working with my families schedule was not working. I was also told that they have seen a pattern in my schedule and I had only called in sick for my evening shifts.. to which my manager said it must be because we didn't have childcare. Let me also state everytime I was unable to make it I wrote it down on a journal, kept text messages just to have my back in case something like this ever did happen. an example I was out an entire week from my kids having the flu to then me catching it right after, I missed day shifts, but they didn't have that week written up in this "pattern" Anyways I was told if I missed any days in this last minute 6 weeks of schedules that I was going to be laid off because they wont be able to make this work. I get. scheduling can be a pain in the butt.. but there - plus...

Hairstylist for Regis (Ancien employé) - Regis Hamilton, ON
I was just reading and when I read opportunities to move to our Brands.... and read "REGIS" I as a former REGIS eemployee. I can promise you that your pay will never reflect your hard work. You will be paid minimum wage rely on your tips because trying to achieve commission is impossible. With Regis it is a 60/40 split.

In one month I brought in 7,400.00, my paycheque for the entire month was 2,960. How frigging discouraging.

Working 6 days a week at 40 hours per week =160 hours per month my pay was 18.50 per hour I killed myself to reach that level of commission. And not all clients tip.

So I quit and opened my own business. I DID loose all my clients but remember when you are a good/excellent stylist people don't forget you or your face.
Points positifs
good place to start and move on
Points négatifs
your pay and no wsib
