Le travail se fait par télétravail et la direction donne beaucoup beaucoup de pression sur les statistiques de performance. Un appel après l'autre sans arrêt, 90 secondes pour finir la prise de notes et formulaire entre chaque appel etc. Vous êtes surveiller à la seconde. Si vous quitter en pause à 15h17, vous avez intérêt à revenir à 15h32... pas 15h33 ni 15h31. Si vous avez envi d'aller au toilette, les boss vous répondres que les pauses sont fait pour ca et si vous avez envi entre temps, c'est interdit. Ambiance très désagréable, nous prennent pour des robots et n'ont pas de coeur avec leur employé.

Pay was not good at all it could take you a whole month before you make a sale and get paid only 30 dollars for it over all people were kind the money just wasn't there until you got further in the work

Telus is focus on work life balance. It's a place where they do care about this value. The opportunity cost is that salary is not very competitive. I guess the trade off is that if you want top dollars then you will have to work on high stress job. I would recommend working at Telus if you want a relax family friendly environment but salary might but be as competitive. (This could have been specific to my department /group)

I worked at TELUS a bit over 9 years before I had enough of how this business was running. The company presents itself as the best paying company and amongst the top 10 employers in Canada. There are definitely good managers here who care about their people, but they also work with limited resources and monstrous workloads. I kept hearing “We need to do more with less”, and my responsibilities kept growing I was working 12 hours a day and doing the work of 3:people. I went through 3 major reorganizations in 9 years; this is a very instable ground for a career. I saw talented people being packaged for a so called “efficiency” measure while the company results were actually good versus their competitors. I thought working for the “health” department would offer me outstanding benefits. Shortly after I joined this company, the benefits dropped and worsened every year. Call centres employees sounded like getting way more benefits than professional management employees. I went through salary freezes, budget cuts, shameful bonuses cuts... It was just awful!Back to the “culture”; there’s this employees yearly satisfaction survey that apparently determines the employees engagement level. This survey is a big joke. First it becomes a competition between directors and above on who’s team will have a better score. Second, you are told in plain language that there will be consequences if you don’t have a good score. A good work environment, where I learned the telecom trade. In the day, sponsored apprenticeship, good work culture and training. If I had to do it again, I would.

Amazing all around. Clean and fun atmosphereWorked for almost 7 years, towards the end the department became an uncomfortable place to work in. Very good voluntary departute package, offered when reorganization was needed in the company.

Was promised a Monday-Friday job. Once in the culture they "embrace change" and teach you about culture later without being forefront about their processes. That changed. My role was s technician, a job that should be valued and focused with. It is a hard roll to fully understand and to craft. You will know a great tech that visits.. Unfortunately telecom companies don't value this. They then changed role to "Product solutions advisor"(sales). On top of the stressful work load and metrics you will be advised to sell or be singled out in condisending group efforts to make dollar end for the company. Customers in their premise don't want to be upsold or cornered into pressured deals they don't need. They want great technical service.

Telus finance department has a toxic work environment. If you’re planning to join Telus then i’d suggest apply somewhere that isn’t apart of finance. The manager’s lack leadership skills and rarely support team culture. Lack of job security as you’re hired as a temp full-time and you will stay as a temp for at least 3-4 years (no benefits). There is favouritism and everyone gossips. There is barely any acknowledgement or recognition for your work. Manager has used language that isn’t appropriate and will call you names. Toxic managers result to toxic coworkers - stepping on eggshells.

Pay at Telus is among the best in the market. Very few companies in Canada pay more for any given job title. Also with Telus, you get to have best in class perks and benefits. Work environment and most people, especially in main buildings, are great.

A little too many organisational structuring going on, also Telus acquires smaller companies all the time, and if you get hired in one of those smaller centres, you'll find it challenging to feel part of Telus, as the culture and people working with you will be originally from that smaller company.

Telus is truly an amazing company to work for. Everyone is very well paid and has great benefits. Its very fast paced and sales focused. The only down side is honestly the customers. Over 20 years in customer service and I have never encountered such rude,entitled and even violent customers.

Sadly, as time goes on and Telus has to provide constant growth for it's shareholders/BOD...it means slowly but surely stripping away at benefits, pay and even jobs on shore to outsource call centre work to the Philippines, and to contract out good paying, skilled jobs to the lowest bidding contractor available. (most of my job was cleaning up super sloppy/unsafe contractor work)Culture has become so toxic because of all the changes that have taken place over the last few years many are leaving in droves. (which just means that Telus wins...) The Union is a joke, it has no power and won't protect you or help you. This isn't any specific person's fault, but the overall complacency and inability of the workers to stand together as a whole.Make no mistake - if you take a field job - your main role is NOT to provide/fix services, your main job is now to SELL SERVICES while you are in the home in front of customers. And if you don't do this, or can't do this - you will be reprimanded formally, and eventually fired.No ability to move up in the company as they do not want union members to succeed/grow with the company. They want to break the union and get all of those workers out. (to save on benefits, full-time pay and pension contributions)The current director for Calgary is a smooth-talking "car salesman". He'll present and tell you one thing, to avoid conflict in the moment, but he'll do things completely the opposite to keep his seat at the management table. He is ruthless and heartless and does NOT care about the people. He only cares about numbers and getting his bonus. - plus...

Client experience work tasks are greatly varied. A typical day would consist of taking on a variety of calls, emails, chats relating to customer experience and needs or supporting the case agents helping said customers.

Good place to start out working for. It can get extremely busy working taking phone calls daily for 8 hour shifts. Good pay abd benefits. Professional setting. Training is good.

Telus has a great work environment. They are very collaborative in their approach and they pay fairly. Very open culture for all walks of life. I would highly recommend as an employer.

The company ethics and morals are great. The work-life balance is good, although you may have to stay extra hours sometimes (as in most jobs). Colleagues are great and supportive for the most part. Teamwork is emphasized and supported to the core. The main issue stems from the fact that there are back-stabbers in the company. The company often conducts employee reviews, collecting information behind your back about you from both colleagues and supervisors. This offers the potential for people who feel job insecure with lots of ammunition to have you laid off if they need to. The environment is competitive. You are pitched against your colleagues for performance and ratings. The pay is decent, and the benefits are great. If you intend to work at Telus, do what you are told. Keep your head low, and don't seek attention to yourself. Don't seek advancement unless you are absolutely certain you are more important than other colleagues looking for the same position. Senior members of the same position often think they are above you, and make it known. Act as if they are, and never question them. They have the ability to make your life miserable, and get you kicked out within the span of a week. Speaking from personal experience.

Was a great company to work for; though, the role I was in was either over-worked or under worked and not paid enough for the cost of living in the area. The sales targets were very annoying as well.

Since organization is huge and also expectation can be changed easily, you need to be fast adapter to cope this situation. There are times you feel suffer. But meanwhile they are fair employer in terms of employees health and benefits.
