The company has gone significantly downhill. Management has terrible people skills no care for their people. The people that get ahead have questionable morals and standards.

It is very difficult to advance in this company even with relevant education. The management is very out of touch with what the customers want. The telecom industry in Canada is ripe for a CRTC regulation

The day starts with a smile on the face that will change the whole day experience with the team at work and customers looking for advice and help. In this environment we learn how to be patient and always looking for new challenge. The hardest part is to make both ends meet between customer satisfaction and the store quota . The best part when the customer shakes your hand at the end thank g you for the customer experience .

Job is mentally demanding but the pay is amazing! I feel that telus does not offer work life balance on the retail side of the company. Job can be very rewarding on good days

Enjoyed the Team work environment and having to learn in order to know the industry was very enjoyable. Customer Service was by far the most challenging yet the most rewarding.

Great team work environment, weekly conference calls to discuss store performances and new strategies for following week. Set personal targets for each team member, offering support and strategies for achieving goals. Provided weekly and on-floor coaching, developing and enhancing proper behaviours to achieve store monthly metrics. Recruited and interviewed new candidates, ensuring each candidate was great fit for organization. Completed weekly schedules aligning with store peak hours and maintaining within provided weekly schedule budgets.

If you are giving them the results they demand then you are ok. If not, they tend to coach you out of your job. The area manger was unfair and hard to work for. I worked 6 days per week most of the time without getting paid for it. I never got any recognition for putting this time in.

Can be rewarding, can be thankless, always interesting. Learned how to effectively communicate through various media. Learned how to diffuse a volatile situation through empathy, selective agreement, humour and education. Hardest part of the job is finding new motivation to produce numbers week after week. The most enjoyable is seeing employees succeed and move on to other roles.

Lots of online training modules to keep me up to date on all products and services. Great management and co-workers, all these people have very unique qualities. Hardest part was keeping up with mall hours. Most enjoyable is feeling empowered thru education.
