Collaborative and supportive

TELUS has become the company and work experience with which I compare all other jobs. I changed careers, or else I’d still be there. During my last 6 months, even though they knew I was leaving, they still mentored me and invested in my training. I felt supported and appreciated both monetarily and personally.

Long and tiring days

I thought I would have liked this job, but when your 'boss' is narcissistic, it's hard. Trying to get him to stay focused on a sale was near impossible without him going on a rant. Finally after not even a month I was done and quit. I couldn't handle it anymore.

Great company great people lots of room for growth. Lots of different departments to work in sky’s the limit on what you can do there. Easy to get to work if you don’t want to park downtown.

Poor culture in customer service, focus on the customer feels forced

Insincere leadership, and agenda driven union leaves employees feeling abandoned by the both, and caught in the middle. Clear intent to move jobs overseas to lower employment cost countries concern for welfare of local employees is clearly low. KPI and bonus motivated management are insincere.

OK place to work

Telus had its ups and downs for me when i worked there. Some good thing and some bad. Call center job and dealing with a lot of clients both happy and upset.

Outsstanding

Although our jobs were relocated over seas and are no longer available, I enjoyed it immensely and would recommend it to someone coming straight out of College, willing to work hard, especially within an ever changing environment. Sometimes you may have to do the work of 2 or 3 (or as I was, the work of 5 - due to a shortage of reps) however the rewards were immense. I am however, very grateful for the break away. I thank God everyday for the knowledge and the experience. It was the experience of a lifetime. I am even more grateful and excited to move forward!! Thank you so very much. Good luck and God Bless!!

Awesome job environment, awesome managers

On average you would answer 20 to 30 calls a day, depending on circumstances, and provide customers with basic technical support. They train you enough to do what is required (basic internet/service provider knowledge). The management is truly awesome though. They are there to support you and want you to succeed.

Team work

Telus Mobility was a great place to work but very demanding. Customer Service is the key, and learning to deal with unhappy people was pinnacle. The co-workers were all wonderful, management was great .

Exciting and Interesting Place to Work

Great place to work but manager was never around and when he was he worked with blinders on and did not see who the TRUE assets to the company were. Favored the "team who were all family related no matter how much they messed up and cost the company thousands of dollars. Other than the manager I enjoyed the work environment.

I loved working at TELUS, it was a energetic exciting workplace

I truly enjoyed working for TELUS, there was a fairly steep learning curve that I enjoyed, wonderful leaders, and great support. I was not very technically inclined when I first started training, and trust me if they could teach me tech support (12 O'clock flasher) they've got some great training.

It is a good company to work for. Must be adaptable to change. Upper management likes to do reorganizations every couple of years.Company is controlled by union environment.Lots of upper management decisions are not realistic.

Could have used practice calls to learn how best to react to usual toxic situations with irate, unreasonable customers. Technical support sufficient.
