Good place for experience/pay/benefits, horrible and toxic environment otherwise

Worked there for 12years before leaving. Enjoyed majority of the work and coworkers. But management has no foresight and keeps going back to solutions that didn't work. Micro managing at times. Horrible for mental health and they do nothing to help with that

Great Entry Level Customer Service Role

Great place to get your foot into the door for customer service. Learn a lot of technical and personal skills on the job. Pay is not competitive as the role has been unionized but for most positions but do have the opportunity to earn additional commission.

Going overseas for cheap labor

So you're interested in working at Telus? Good luck! In your day-to-day, every keystroke, mouse movement, customer interaction and paperwork is micro-managed to oblivion. Did you let your mouse sit there for 30 seconds? Prepare for a side by side with HR and your team manager to discuss a matter of importance. Witness the windfall of suspensions, terminations, support teams closing down and get moved to a different department with no prior training. You can either stay with Telus, or be forced to quit with a paltry payoff as the International division literally takes away your job. Do not worry, there's a union in place. They are doing their super best to take your fees and kind of support you as their renegotiation with Telus for a new contract falls through. Meanwhile, Telus has set a record for suspensions/terminations in 2022. They have truly learned their lesson since 2005. This is very simple: do not work here. If you do, think of it as a 6 month contract. At the most.
