Great place to work! I enjoyed most of my time there. Would love to work for them again someday. I miss many of my peers and employees. Good pay nice benefits and great tools to get the job done.

Overall Telus was an excellent company to work for. Be prepared to put in the hours and you will be rewarded. Depending on leader they can be very accomodating.

great management and culture

Started as a customer service rep working in all departments. After having had experience I was then promoted to Team Leader working once again in various department. The most enjoyable part was learning how to deal with the many different agents assigned to my team and training them based on my experiences

Awesome career

I have worked in several departments during my tenure at TELUS. Each area has had challenges that made the day-to-day tasks rewarding. The teams have been second to none in each city I have been in, and the managers and directors all encouraging and supportive. My team members are what keep me going each day. We laugh together and support each other through the rough times. My current department is a 24/7 operation, yet I feel connected to my team members because of the tools available to keep in touch with each other. The hardest part of my job is working through performance issues with team members, however thankfully that's certainly an exception. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the team members engaged and committed in their daily tasks.

Work hard, good people development

TELUS expects a lot of its front-line team managers, from coaching and development to working primeships (non-core role work). You learn very well how to coach individuals, and to a lesser degree how to support and develop front line team members. Your supporting manager is definitely dependent on their style and personality, I found with working two different ones there was one that was better for me than another, however this isn't to say one was bad. Work-life balance is decent, there is a ton of flexibility with your hours and when you choose to work. One is likely going to work greater than 8 hours a day, and you can get this back at another time, but overall look to put in 40+ a week almost always. Performance is measured as expected for a people leader, on your team's performance, however it is also based on your 'values' score, and this in relation to your peers, so you better step up and not only perform well at your core role, but do a ton extra because there are others doing that. Your yearly bonus is based on the combo of performance and values, so the more you do all year, hopefully this is recognized through both quality and quantity. Also, as a team manager your performance is heavily considered through team member engagement and your teams quarterly evaluation of you. Be sure if you take a role like this that you have a strong grasp of how to drive team engagement, as it is something considered with high importance. Overall, being a front-line team manager at TELUS is rewarding, and there should be a lot of opportunity to learn (this is -

Very supportive team that works well together

I management a team that works in a contact centre specializing in HR and Payroll. I have a great team that is very successful and out performs other teams consistently. Very proud of the level of customer service we provide on a daily basis.

felt like a modern day factory, very cold, not fun, the company cares only for the bottom line period.
