with every re organizational change, the new management don't check the feed back about the employees from the previous and try to build on it, instead they decide to start evaluating from the start which makes it difficult for the employees who have been working hard for several years to move forward as they can't provide any good feedback to support to the employee in his internal career progression

for them u just a number . kick u out anytime maybe just manager doesnt like you . no warning , then just fire . poor management doesnt listen to you at all . no person to them you are . u better like robot , no emotion . copy paste every second . waste a second ? you go .

Do not recommend

I definitely would not recommend this job to others. You're hired as a part-time agent and it takes years until you're actually given full-time status. They have incredibly difficult and unrealistic metrics that they require you to meet. Management is monitoring everything that you do and even if you're meeting performance metrics, they still will ask for more from you. They really don't seem to care about you, you're simply a number and can easily be replaced. The calls are very stressful as the majority of people you'll speak with are typically irate about their bill, issues with their services, or the wait times for calling in. Scheduling doesn't offer much for work life balance, so you'll have to work frequent late shifts and weekends. The only positive things that I have to say are that the benefits are good, pay is decent, and there are a lot of great co-workers.

Collaborative and supportive

TELUS has become the company and work experience with which I compare all other jobs. I changed careers, or else I’d still be there. During my last 6 months, even though they knew I was leaving, they still mentored me and invested in my training. I felt supported and appreciated both monetarily and personally.

Best job I worked

Amazing all around. Clean and fun atmosphereWorked for almost 7 years, towards the end the department became an uncomfortable place to work in. Very good voluntary departute package, offered when reorganization was needed in the company.

Beware before you decide to work here. You aren’t special your just a number

I have to say when I started I was so happy. I loved the atmosphere , loves the pay and especially loved my manager. But then buyouts starting happening and moral within the office dropped because they were grasping at straws to remove agents. My manager was the only reason I know a lot of my co workers stayed. But then my manager was asked to do others managers jobs and eventually was mistreated by other managers and operations managers and it created a toxic work atmosphere. So much that when my manager left our whole team applied to other departments just to get away from the disgusting way they treated my manager. I used to love coming to work until I didn’t. Management is toxic , backstabbing and will do anything to get ahead. Since I had a new manager I have never felt like more than a number than I did before I left. You are number and nothing more we all feel this way but most are to afraid to speak up because of how we are treated when we do.

Stressful environment

Constantly putting bandaids on self-inflicted bullet wounds. Unable to admit, nevermind fix, systemic problems. There was a culture shift away from making changes that enhance the customer and employee experience to one of constant cost cutting. Especially through automation. When evidence was brought forward about the fallout of automation leaders shut down the conversation.

upon hiring fast paced and fun

as I enter my 5th year of employment with Telus. I am still grateful for being employed full time, however, the work environment is slowing going down hill. I will not go into detail, but will state that my work life balance have not been as promised when hired.

Excellent at building foundation and providing mentorship opportunities

The culture is amazing and the management care about their staff. You make your own experience here, where if you have a goal management would do their best to help you achieve it. They are also really receptive to employee concerns with a heavy focus in improving team engagement.

Worst job i have ever held

If you enjoy getting yelled at on a constant basis, dealing with people that are over entitled, having every mouse click and phone conversation monitored by management(which yes it is, they have nothing better to do then watch your screen), and finally having performance metrics from day 1 of starting and being compared to everyone else everyday. This job is perfect for you. Just an FYI, if you dont have good stats it sets managers off(as it drags down the team stats) they will target you, trash talk behind your back and all that good fun. It doesnt pay much more than minimum wage, and their internal promotions actually cut wages instead of increasing them. I went from making an additional $900(or more) per month in commission, and accepted a promotion. I endured all this additional training, only to have a CAP of $500 put on my commission. Just saying its a little messed up to trick employees into something like that especially when just above minimum wage, does not cover the bills.

Fun to work there.

It was a lovely place to work with very nice leadership team and great co workers. There was a lot of pressure to meet KPI's but if you were not meeting them they were will to help you out.

very supportive environment

everyone I worked with at Telus Employer Solutions were friendly and helpful. There is a family environment that they live and believe whole heartedly. A very refreshing place to work and I sorely miss working there.

Long and tiring days

I thought I would have liked this job, but when your 'boss' is narcissistic, it's hard. Trying to get him to stay focused on a sale was near impossible without him going on a rant. Finally after not even a month I was done and quit. I couldn't handle it anymore.

Great company.

Inbound call centre and I work from home! I love what I do on a daily basis since there's also a different call each day. If you love to problem solve and balancing company objectives, You'll find the right job within Telus.

Great company great people lots of room for growth. Lots of different departments to work in sky’s the limit on what you can do there. Easy to get to work if you don’t want to park downtown.

Good Call Center

Normal call center job, with bathroom and breaks timed. Depends on your department sometimes you can work form home. Very good benefits and pay plan also raises every years

working for TELUS MOBILITY was a great experience , and the workplace environment was really fun vibe, family. You also have a lot of Team and Colleague Support and I loved it
