It is a great place to work. there is room for advancement. leaders are helpful and encourage you and endorse you for positions if qualifies. self discipline and ownership of your career is required.

Not the best place to work for

There is a high turn over working at TELUS Health Care centre for many years now due to no growth in the company although they keep preaching about it, they are understaffed and work you like a dog, management does not take accountability when they make a mistake and everything is always blamed on you, there is no work/life balance and you can't afford to live in Toronto with the rate that they pay you, it is actually pretty sad, the only thing I can say is the benefits are good and the people I used to work with are nice.

Amazing company to work for

I can't say enough good things about this company. Hands down best place I have ever worked. Balance, opportunity, collaboration and AMAZING people.

Summer student position

Telus was a great place for a summer placement. The people were wonderful and the workplace culture was very inviting. The most difficult part of the job was definitely leaving!

Work-life balance is a joke

I keep reading about how wonderful Telus is for work-life balance. Maybe it exists in some departments, but definitely not where I worked in the head office! We were expected to be available 24/7, to the point where you even had to take your phone into the bathroom. Yes, occasionally working from home was a great plus but when you can't take a vacation without answering emails it doesn't come close to making up for it.

Busy daily and lots to juggle at times with last minute asks. Was able to work for a number of departments and positions and learnt to be flexible and deal with change I have worked for many good managers that always supported me Hardest part would have been trying to get some answers to questions in the fast pace ever changing company Always something to new to learn and working with my awesome team

Productive work place

As an admin assistant you work to resolve problems and inquiries for internal staff and customers. Processing large amounts of customer payments, cash and balance accounts when working with outside agencies. Assisting support staff and representatives in investigations of sensitive info on accounts following company policy. Inputting/updating TCS schedule exceptions and SAP payroll for the office, posting email office schedules. I had the opportunity to work with a good team of management and co-workers. It is hard leaving a job with such a good team. I enjoyed our office gatherings during various company events.

I enjoyed working at Telus

I would arrive at work, turn on the computer, answer phone calls. I would start inputting the hours of the employees. I would get asked to do letters up for different managers. I would photocopy and organize papers for managers. I would do several different types of paperwork and forms related to the floor I was working on. I was also kept busy with the employees questions and concerns that I would need to direct appropriately.

Lots to do Great at times when you get to work in smaller teams Good benefits for those who are full time Fun social events the company puts high importance on confidentiality which is great
