The management is not doing well, you have to do what they say or bam you stay here until I say, only some managers are good with product knowledge; others just got promoted because they were with the company for a long time. Vacation and holidays leaves never get approved unless you book them a year and half before. They literally hire people with nay backgrounds. Most people work because of pay and benefits. Not recommended for people looking for advancement and want to stay long term here, because the management literally is the worst.

Stressful and Depressing

Highly discriminatory and messed up environment. Few managers approve of the same things for their subordinates and the same things aren't approved by other managers. Tuesday GM doesn't have any hold on his managers and managers are changing rules on their own. Mangers themselves work from home but won't allow you to do the same even if you had an accident. This a job basically which has no life in it. Expectations of the company are so high as if they have hired robots not humans. Some of the seniors are rude as if they had all the knowledge from day 1. The only perk of this job is that they pay ok. You get crushed by all the sides, the angry customers, the complex and strict compliance rules of the company. The only good thing is that your peers try to help you. If employer or HR ever reads this. Stop making your employees life miserable.

TD was my dream company and I had a horrible experience. They give promotions to the wrong people and managers there are sneaky and rude and don’t respond when you need them. They say it’s an open door policy but it is not. Managers talk down to you and leave you traumatized. I complained to HR and they didn’t do anything at all since I was being treated wrongly

Very supportive managers who want to see your growth. Consistent coaching. Love the culture at TD insurance. Overall a supportive culture both managers and team members. Team collaboration at its best. Ps. Salary doesn’t match the cost of living. My only concern

According to me it can be a good company to work with if they give training properly, People(smees) who helps their while employee are on training were not that good at all, they will show you some attitude, will be a bossy around you. No employee would deserve this type of attitude from this SUCH a company, What i expect from staff, seniors is completely a different than what i got. So i would say first train those people whose giving training, helping trainees and staff to be nice with everyone and not to talk behind you and help employees in a good way, explain ina good way. I though its well mannered and reputed company but in reality when you will start working their in some phases and with some people(staff, managers, staff who help employees in training) you will feel law and will feel company might be a good but nt STAFF..! It feels like they’re more interested in meeting KPIs and winning their TEAMS only rather than giving their employee proper training with good attitude.

Growing in TD insurance to better position is more about your people skill then the job skillset required to complete your daily task They will happily choose anyone with no knowledge and experience over someone with ample experience in required role over just their personal connections

Its a good place to work with group benefits and with Lot of growth opportunities as well The only downside is they pay less to the people already working but more to newly hired people which i feel its not right. Even after complaining about it there was no futher steps taken

Stress increases every day, the job increases my anxiety level. The training was not excellent, joined during peak covid time so it could be the reason of difficulty i faced.

There are never ending lists of things that are wrong with this job, but worst of all, YOU CANNOT USE THE WASHROOM WHEN YOU NEED TO! You cannot take breaks that you are not scheduled to. How am I supposed to schedule when I need to use the washroom?

overall good experience so far. Exam part was difficult but i was able to get through in the first go. Salary was revised twice in 7 months which is good.

It's ok. You handle around 10-30+ phone calls per day and they are heavily monitered. The customers are ok and the problems are not too difficult but it can get stressful. Pay + Benefits are good

Very high call volume and stressful working place. Long hours and you have to take the phone calls all day long. Pay and benefit is not bad for a call centre but compare to the work load is nothing

TD insurance is a good organisation to work. It takes 6 months to become a pro but the support is good for employees. Awards and contests keep employees motivated. Employee feedback and suggestions are welcomed and listened to.

Micromanagement will be the reoccurring theme of this position because there’s no escaping it. Initially you will be doing training for about 3 months which is the fun part, but they don’t nearly train you enough to know about all the details of the policies you’ll be selling. Here you will get a gut feeling of what you’re getting into. Once you’re on the phones things get much worse. You are monitored the entire shift using a timer. It times how long between calls, how long calls take, your breaks, etc. Your entire life now revolves around this timer. If you’re 2 min late from lunch, expect an email from management. Fortunately there is ways to exploit It (at the expense of the customers) but you’ll learn to do it anyway and not care (Mainly calling busy departments like IT so you can sit on hold for 20 min and catch your breath while looking like you’re on the phone). You will realize fast that you have no time to do any off phone duties. If a client needs some document that isn’t pre made by the system, you’ll have to make it yourself. This wouldn’t be a problem normally, except that management doesn’t want you off the phone to do it. They expect you to do any off phone duties on your lunch. In reality what happens is they never get done and customers will phone back angry. Clients have no way of reaching the same advisor consistently so you’ll get yelled at for stuff you didn’t do and they’ll leave a bad review about it, which will fall on you because you just so happened to be the last person they called. TD also frowns upon following up with clients to close sales. -
