This is a good job to be at, there is some room to move up in the company. The job is physically demanding but it’s not hard to get used too. Doing the job isn’t hard because it’s repetitive and very easy to learn. The management is good and takes concern or suggestions seriously, ensures we perform the tasks as efficiently as possible. The management doesn’t always tell us what we’re doing throughout the day for the overall plan but does make working the job more enjoyable and less stressful. The work atmosphere is great to work in, the people are very nice and fun to be around. Overall it’s a fun place to work In and a great starting job.
BBQs in the summer, the hours are nice, decent pay
Physically demanding, in the summer time the pig barn smells

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a positive review of your work experience at our La Salle facility! It is great to see that you are enjoying working with the production team and management.
I have been working at Tank Traders for the last little while and I am happy I chose to join their team! It is a fun, collaborative work environment that allows for dynamic growth, while focusing on being 100% transparent. My team provides many opportunities for excellent idea sharing, creating and implementing new ways of doing daily tasks that improve office functions. The work culture thrives on being open, transparent, hard-working, open to change and adapting to changes. It is fast-paced, but it creates a great learning curve to improve your skills.Overall, working for Tank Traders will provide you with a dynamic opportunity for growth and development in building your career.
Full comprehensive benefits, flexible schedule, positive work culture, etc
Tank Traders is a great company to work for. I have been working for this company for more then 10 years and have seen a lot of changes and growth within it. I am a strong believer that you only get what you put into it, that being said there is always room for advancement within the company.
I've worked for Tank Traders for over a year, it is exactly the job I was looking for. Managers and Supervisors are always willing to accomodate or help if you need anything. It's fast paced and a competitive market that just continues to grow, and as the market grows, so does the company. Employees get along well and the environment is fun to be in lots of laughing while getting the job done.

Expect to work hard and long days but you are treated well. Management is always willing to listen to your concerns. they are flexible if you need time off. Weekend work is minimal and never work Sundays. Very positive atmosphere.
I have been with the company for 4 years now. They have taught me a lot, not only about the job but about myself! Management is flexible with hours and days you need to work. This is a fairly young person job I would say, unless you're management. You need to be able to lift 20 and 30lb's as it is tanks you're lifting. Drivers work about 14 hours per shift and production isn't far behind that in the summer months. If you work hard and show potential management will see this and give you recognition.
Considered an essential service, good benefits after 6 months, positive place to work
Trucks are shared among drivers
While the workload can be physically demanding and the days are longer than average I found the work to be very rewarding. The extra physical activity helped improve my health and the freedom to work through the day at my own pace while enjoying the outdoors and traveling around the province was a real benefit. The management team was very supportive and helped me to grow in the position without being critical of mistakes. I really appreciated that all the management staff have personally done the work and understand the challenges that can arise, when I encountered issues they could provide personal experience on how to proceed.
Supportive management team, Cell Phone allowance, Lots of Overtime during the summer
Slow winter season

Have worked at Tank Traders for 6+ years and enjoy every minute. Expectations are clear and accountability is high but having fun is at the forefront. To say Tank Traders is growing is an understatement. Opportunities are endless as they have work available in Logistics (supply chain), Production, Maintenance, Sales, R&D, Safety and Compliance, IT, HR, Finance and Accounting.
All I can say about this place is everyone that works there are great people. They just don’t pay enough for the work you do when they say it there ad about being able to lift 20-40lbs that’s just one tank and you have between 300-400 on the truck and each stop has any where between 20-60 tanks per stop then load empty ones back on the truck and the safety part of the job when your unloading tanks for the first row you have to climb on to the stacked tanks to get the top row this job should pay at lest 26 an hour
People that work there are great people to work with
pay sucks and not safe work environment
I worked for this company for almost two seasons. We had a great manager who went above and beyond for us. He left the company in the spring. Head office did not replace him. They relied on a different department head to oversee the day to day production. The person that was put into this roll is clueless and careless. Demand demand demand. Does not have any compassion or trust of employees. Sits at home watching cameras and gives directions via chat groups. Comes in whenever he wants and leaves whenever suits him. Makes us work overtime and doesn’t even show up!! Very unprofessional and does not lead by example. Zero interest on what actually happens until he gets in trouble. Management and forklift drivers continually outside smoking, seems like they don’t have anything to do. When we are short handed don’t expect a helping hand via your leader... you’ll be expected to pull the weight of your missing counterparts. And when it’s physically impossible to complete your goal because your short staffed you still get in trouble. PPE is provided but is not enforced to be worn....??? Under this new manager health and safety issues continue to arise without solutions, and the employee turn over is out of this world! To bad this company couldn’t have kept the last manager, had a head on his shoulders and knew the plant inside and out. I’d caution employment under the current leadership onsite. Btw the door isn’t open for your comments! He turns a blind eye and expects you so the same. Quota quota quota! The job is physical, and the days have been long. Summer, well that’s a season - plus...
Only go into this job if you are ready to work long hours and put in a lot of work. They are good guys to work for but it’s a very difficult job hand bombing tanks all day and there’s no way around that.
Experience, good people, work alone
Long hours, heavy lifting, working in all conditions
Great group of people from the owner and managers to the drivers. The workplace culture is fast paced and positive. The wages are fair with the opportunity for overtime. Employees are expected to hard working, honest and reliable. All employees work together as a team to achieve a common goal, the success of Tank Traders across the country. Great company to work for and to grow with.
The company has no really want to do anything but get as many tanks out the door each month as they can. People are getting hurt left and right and for obvious reasons. When you manually move 6000 lbs if material “ propane tanks” in a day you’re bound to get hurt. Hours are long and really the only way you can make any money with overtime. Oh yeah you can only get overtime after 88 hours in two weeks
Tank Traders is a great place to gain experience and has many growth opportunities in all of its departments. Also, from personal experience, they appreciate and compensate for hard work. I love the collaborative company culture and I enjoy what I do!
Currently working here, and it's a breath of fresh air. The environment is very open - I can talk to senior management without hesitation and I know my ideas would be considered and not just swept under the rug. There's also a lot of room to grow here, so many of my co-workers were promoted from within and that says a lot about this company. The only downside is it's outside Winnipeg but the drive isn't that bad either. All in all, I'd recommend my friends to work here.
Fun place to work - never a dull moment - progressive and dynamic - respected and appreciated for work you do - we work hard and we have fun - lots of opportunities to build new ways to do things better - management very receptive to innovation and improvement
Fun / innovative / appreciative
If I could tar tank traders any less than a 1 I would. This company is the worst. It has everything from racist managers to a lazy CFO. I hope if you were offered a job here you would take the time to read the reviews. There are a variety of them from almost every position in the company. If you worked in the office just know that you will be constantly stabbed in the back daily and have to deal with men who don’t take criticism and will only accept an idea if it is their. Run run away as fast as you can.
Promised full time and was laid off at first slow down time Was lied too about certain aspects, was asked to do certain things and when I said I was uncomfortable doing them I was told if I didn’t I was getting let laid off Do not recommend working there at all, I know I won’t ever work there again. Being that managers are out of province it’s ran very poorly
