Promised full time and was laid off at first slow down time Was lied too about certain aspects, was asked to do certain things and when I said I was uncomfortable doing them I was told if I didn’t I was getting let laid off Do not recommend working there at all, I know I won’t ever work there again. Being that managers are out of province it’s ran very poorly
I do not recommend anyone work for this company. As a driver there I have seen Thier true colors. They say it's a good balance between work and personal life. But the plain truth is that it's not. They don't care if you have a family and want to spend time with them. All they care about is how much product they can deliver. They don't treat their employees with respect at all. So if you want a personal life stay far away from this company.
Long hours, no personal life

Thank you for providing your feedback. We provide our delivery drivers with 40 hours per week, plus any additional overtime to assist with business needs. We do recognize the value of their time, especially in peak BBQ season. When our drivers work additional hours in our peak season, we do offer them the option to bank their overtime hours to use as time off at later date, or have it paid out. If you would like to discuss your situation further, please feel free to contact us or speak with your direct supervisor!
Yes if your are looking to work out this is the job for you. You will lift 400 30lb tanks above your head daily. And that is the easy part, pulling on the top layer will damage your wrist. If you are looking for a professional driving career keep looking. None of the drivers are professional drivers. A Pritrip = ya I’m sure it is fine. A transport of dangerous goods ticket = zero training and just coping the answers. If you start to hurt no worries they will shuffle you out the door and try to find another as soon as possible. Last point if you do an out of town run there is not restaurant allowance even though they tell you through the paperwork at on-boarding time there is.
no benefits for 6 months, No care about your balance between work and life, No proper cleaning facilities at the yard, no running water to wash your hands after using the jiffy toilet on site

Thank your for providing your feedback. Tank Traders strongly believes in providing all of our employees an environment of mutual respect and trust. At Tank Traders, the safety of our employees and the public is our number one concern. We pride our ourselves on putting safety first and to ensure our delivery drivers receive their Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification in-house and on-the-job paid training. We do provide paid accommodations for our delivery drivers should they require it on out of town delivery runs. If you would like to discuss your situation further, please feel free to contact us!
Management lies and totally disrespectful to their employees, unsafe equipment and doesn’t supply ppe for these COVID times.Refuse to listen to new ideas. Employees come and go like a revolving door. Please stay away! Customer service is horrible and loosing business every day.
While the workload can be physically demanding and the days are longer than average I found the work to be very rewarding. The extra physical activity helped improve my health and the freedom to work through the day at my own pace while enjoying the outdoors and traveling around the province was a real benefit. The management team was very supportive and helped me to grow in the position without being critical of mistakes. I really appreciated that all the management staff have personally done the work and understand the challenges that can arise, when I encountered issues they could provide personal experience on how to proceed.
Supportive management team, Cell Phone allowance, Lots of Overtime during the summer
Slow winter season

Management is racist expects miracles to happen on a daily basis. 14 hour days that sometimes extend to 15 hours which is illegal and could lose drivers license for it considering you are transporting dangerous goods. Should have a helper for such a low wage too much labour is involved. Considering it’s dangerous goods and drivers are expected to throw around full propane tanks all day it should pay closer to 25-30 /hr Unless you are desperate for some summer work or want an intense paid workout every day without rest to your muscles I would steer clear.
Considering the business profile is simple, your just providing the customers with propane. The challenges come when you learn about the company. Training could’ve been easier if management had integrity and held a professional attitude. If you’re brain dead, young, desperate or have no experience as a vendor, then sure, this place is for you. Trust me, this place shown it’s colours after two shifts, and it’s embarrassingly obvious it needs leadership. Stay away!
You deliver 40 lbs propane cylinders to gas stations, 711s, Walmarts Etc. Count the stock with an invoice machine, swap the tanks, give receipt to customer, do your paperwork then off to next client. Roughly 10-25 stops a day (300 to 500 tanks a day). Job is very physically demanding, pay is alright. I left after 4 years cause I felt I was underpaid for what my output was. Management is pretty good, generally understanding supervisors. All I would say to prospective drivers is don’t work harder than necessary, they reward loyalty more
Decent Pay, home every weekend
Physically demanding, hard on the body
