Does this company do outsourcing? As in, are persons from countries other than USA and Canada allowed to apply for the work-at-home?
Not ALL. I've applied and during the time of my scheduled interview before the interview begins the interviewer told me they don't hire someone from the province of Alberta, Canada where I am currently living. I just don't know why and the interviewer told me it's a corporate decision. :(
Quelles sont les étapes du processus de recrutement chez Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated?
The interview was over the phone and wasn't very long. its hard to remember it was so long ago.
What are the home office requirements in Canada? I have a small unfinished room off my rec room although it needs to be drywalled still. Other than that, I can get a landline and dedicated internet connection to meet requirements. Also, the door locks and the room would be quiet. Does Sykes look at the esthetics of the room you will be working in, or do they just want you to have a locking door with a 100% quiet aream (which I can do) Don't feel like spending money on drywalling right now in case the job doesn't work out. Any advice would help.
The room just has to be secure and free from background noise and distractions. I wouldn't put too much effort into the room as this is ultimately a call-center job and you're emulating a cubicle. Personally I worked out of a walk-in closet. It worked best because an empty room has a echo or tinny quality to it that can be off putting to the people you're talking to.
