Digital Mail Services Administrator (Imaging Clerk, Etc...)
Digital Mail Services Administrator (Imaging Clerk (Ancien employé) – Waterloo, ON – 11 août 2019
However they word the title of this position on Indeed or other websites, it's still the same department...Digital Mail, which is in the basement of the Sun Life HQ office at King/Union in Waterloo.
The department head (at the time I was there) was an Asian women. Although friendly, I found her very difficult to understand, as she spoke extremely fast, and her English was often broken.
The department itself is very dull and boring, as there are no windows, little to no communication with coworkers, especially those who are scanning all day, which is the most mundane position there is at Sun Life. In Digital Mail, you are expected to reach a certain KPI for scanning per hour, in excess of 500+ documents. The repetition of using the scanners (Opex Machines) is almost identical to scanning groceries at the register all day...minus any sort of interaction with anyone.
This position is posted on a regular basis, by both Sun Life and outside recruiters. I would advise looking elsewhere for a job, unless your long term plan is to move into a more senior position within the department (of which there aren't many), or if you plan on applying to internal postings to get out of the basement.
