I have really enjoyed working for this company. What isn't great is that being on salary commission.I enjoyed my time at Sun Life. Great employees, fair pay and excellent benefits. Not much room for growth or leaning opportunities. Very hierarchical organization, no opportunities to interact with management.
Sun Life has a very friendly environment to work, and some of the best DevOps professionals to work with. Also, Sun Life is a Full DevOps shop organization that invests most of DevOps tools and technologies. Thanks Ahmed

Emplois et carrières chez Financière Sun Life
Digital Mail at Sun Life in Waterloo is a great foot-in-the-door opportunity for those whose ideal workplace environment is highly repetitious, without windows, little-to-no conversation with co-workers (with the exception of daily meetings), and working a flex-time schedule...meaning, if you take time off for an appointment, you will have to make up the time. This department has an extremely high turnover. Most have only been in the department for a year or two. Very long recruitment process (average 2 months from interview to first day), as you need reliability security status through the RCMP.
Work/Life Balance (Hours: 7:30am to 3:30om, Mon to Fri)
Low Pay ($31.500)
Excellent flexibility but no pay equity so a trade off but works for me. I think benefits are weak compared to other employers and seeing how it's Sun Life.
No opportunity for growth
I believe Sun Life is really bit on work life balance and is capable of providing that for their employees. It really helps you excel in your job and be able to be present in your home life. The workplace culture is great its just more of a corporate environment therefore if you are young it might not be the first ideal job if your seeking those Friday nights team events or beer on tap.
State of the art building at 1 York with cutting edge progressive agile working environment, very supportive management and amazing continuous improvement mind set of teams.
Agile working environment, continuous improvement culture
I enjoy my time at Sun Life.... no one draped over your shoulder ... ran my own schedule and was self motivated. It was a typical corporation with the typical corporate feel.... the management structure was a bit to be desired.... at times you feel like your just a number and your suggestions might not amount to much. But the vacation and benefits were good and salary was competitive. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the day to day drama.... the culture was a bit toxic at times but at other times it was great... a bit of a roller coaster ride The best part of the job was dealing with and training all of the staff and advisors.... also i wasnt monitored and scrutinized about my day to day activities
Great benefits, vacation allotment and competitive salary
Typical corporate feel
At Sun Life financial co-ops are given the opportunity to develop their skill sets as well as network with other like-minded students. I very much enjoyed my experience at Sun Life and was involved in lots of meaningful work.
