Running your own business, are responsible for all aspects of the job. Very long hours. Can be very rewarding if willing to learn and put the time and effort in (60 + hours/week)

Getting into the industry, I always viewed Sun Life as one of the better companies. It isn't. Though my colleagues and managers were (for the most part) fairly nice and knowledgeable, all they care about is your initial sales to get you "appointed". They push for you to sell to family and friends. After that, they don't really offer much support unless you have a high value network. They rinse and repeat and turnover is high. They also force you to rent their offices, so even though you're barely scraping by and trying to keep costs low initially, they tack on some hefty bills between their offices and specific computers they have to approve. Overall, not the worst experience. But as a salesperson, it's pretty rough.

Continuous downloading of Costs onto its agents
Love what I am doing, but management isn't very supportive. Management is big on telling you to call head office or go on website. Advisors are very nice and helpful.

Morning meeting in the morning, talking about what do good and areas need to improved in the company, then individual back to office to make their appointment or seeing clients. people group together will go out to prospective clients especially for small business.
