I was hired at stare &main as a prep cook, and quit a few months later.

I received minimal training and was told to watch the online modules so I could learn how to make the food.

Kitchen manager was disrespectful to employees. People were constantly being yelled at and scolded for making mistakes.

During my interview I told the kitchen manager what my availability was and he said that it was fine. when I was hired I was put on the schedule Monday-Friday 5-9 pm, even though I told them I couldn’t work Monday-Friday, only certain days.

I worked as a line cook here for several months and i can honestly say i didnt learn a thing.
The management here is very young and there is no real sense of someone in charge.
I goofed off consistantly with the high school staff and orders always got backed up because nobody is on the same page.
Staff here are young, inexperienced and likely hungover for their shift.
There IS NO CHEF OR EXECUTIVE COOK.
this restaurant is in bad shape and people constantly quit or get fired.
i wouldnt recommend working here or eating here.

The working conditions at State and Main were very unprofessional. I did not feel comfortable going to work at this establishment. More times then not the employees were very hungover or had not slept the night before so in my mind that would make them unproductive and sloppy in their work ethic. Everyday was a constant party for the employees. I just did not find this a safe and enjoyable environment to work in.
