Loved working here. The baristas are like my family, and most customers were pleasant. Starbucks really takes that extra step to help out their partners, with great benefits and discounts. Overall great experience and great first job for me.
Points positifs
Partner markouts weekly, partner discounts, partner beverages while working.
Points négatifs

I worked for Starbucks for 3.5 years 2.5 of which was as a supervisor. This place drains all your life source. They advertise caring about their partners and then they'll go and understaff us during peak hours and BOGOs. They also took our hazard pay away during a pandemic, But continued to open our stores to the public and advertised happy hours. Overall this place is not worth your time more often then not it just weighs down on you and makes you miserable.
Points positifs
free drinks on shift, 30% discount, coffee markout each week.
Points négatifs
exhausting, long hours, not very flexable.

My experience with Starbucks was an unforgettable journey. Working here is a great way to meet all kinds of people and the work environment is relaxed but fast-paced. You learn to make drinks and get discounts, and talk with your co-workers on the job, but the best part is the culture of Starbucks and the sense of camaraderie. Like all jobs, there are downsides. Sick days are non-existent and it's up to you to find someone that can cover you. Also, the pay is minimum wage and they have yet to integrate tipping on their point of sales. However, you do get benefits and the schedule is very flexible which works well for students.

I've made countless friends and memories working at Starbucks and would gladly recommend this job to anyone.
Points positifs
Great culture, Friendly environment, Free Drinks, Discounts and Benefits
Points négatifs
Sick Days, Minimal Tips

Starbucks in Victoria has had multiple instances of store managers both harassing and tolerating harassment of employees, and the district manager is absurdly widely despised. Every store manager I've known with has voiced their hatred of her openly to their staff. They pay minimum wage to their Baristas, and if you work over 20 hours a week you get some surprisingly alright benefits. That being said, tips are garbage. You'd be lucky to walk away with more than $2-3 after an 8 hour shift, nothing in comparison to any other coffee shop I've worked at. The corporate culture is the worst kind of doublespeak, and acting like they're some kind of social enterprise while also serving beans picked by slaves.
Points positifs
Free drinks, benefits for working 20h/week
Points négatifs
low wages, toxic culture

Starbucks is a really easy place to work at. Schedules are perfect for students, because of how flexible it can be, the benefits are also great, although you can only apply if you’re doing an average of 20 hrs a week. I totally recommend for students looking for a flexible easy-going job.
Points positifs
Great benefits, easy-going job
Points négatifs

Minimum wage and slave work, not worth your time. Manager was lovely only because she was also underpaid and had to support her family regardless of her 60 hour work weeks and no days off.
Points positifs
Manager was the best and the coworkers are amazing
Points négatifs

Overall, my experience at Starbucks was good. The primary reason I quit was that I wasn't able to get a transfer to a different location when I moved cities, so I was unable to work. My co-workers were all friendly and helpful, and my boss was very understanding and cooperative. The customers are nice and easy to work with. The work itself is not very difficult, but there are a lot of recipes to memorize which made the first month or so quite stressful.
Points positifs
Really good benefits
Points négatifs
Need a lot of training and experience before you feel comfortable

Points positifs

Points négatifs

Your store manager only cares about the number that the store generates as it will lead the result in the chain of command. In short you are going to be understaff during closing due too inappropriate amount of work to get done with little manpower. I had plenty of hours available hours but they give you only enough so you don’t make benefits.

I definitely enjoyed working for Starbucks, my only qualm was the type of employees hired that would then continue to work when they were not suitable for the position. Negative or ill prepared employees were the worst part for me, making working there a bit toxic. The customers were typical, the “Karen’s” were abundant, but the regulars were sweethearts who the employees (who cared) could welcome personally everyday. It’s like having work friends but they just drop in for a cuppa and then be on their way.
Working at a drive-thru location meant it was always pretty busy and fast paced. Those types of shifts would only really go well with the right staff working.

Your coworkers can really make or break your working experience and that goes for every job ever!
Points positifs
Benefits are stellar for only working 20hrs a week, fun far paced energy, regular customers make the whole experience enjoyable for both parties.
Points négatifs
Toxic coworker mix, periodical poor management skills, lots of food waste

As a manager you were expected to be available 24hrs a day with no support from your district manager. The expectations were unfair, support low and upper management aloof and poorly trained.

Starbucks can be a lot of things. it can be a home a family. it encourages people to do their best. and it provides its works with benefits you wouldn't get anywhere else. its definitely not a great career choice but it for sure satisfied me when it came to hours and as a buffer to what I am pursuing. Each store is different and it gives off a different vibe. Some stores are more professional while others are more easy going. the best part is you can try all the locations by picking up shifts anywhere in the city. totally recommend the job if making millions at 19 isn't your goal!
Points positifs
friendly, respectful environment. Feels like a family here, Starbucks redeems it self when it comes to benefits
Points négatifs
recommend getting a second job cause hours aren't guaranteed

Starbucks is a great place to work but there's not many options for growth.

It is possible to keep a very manageable work/life balance while working, but your salary will be affected by that. If you want to get the most hours, you need to have your availability open, that means sacrificing weekends, holidays and have the unpredictability of when you are working next.

Besides that, overall the people you work with is what makes or breaks your experience. If you have a great team, you will love going to work everyday.
The benefits are great and you have the option to have a very open schedule if you have a second job or you're studying.
Points positifs
Benefits
Points négatifs
Irregular work hours
