There are so many things to learn that it can be super stressful at first. Depending on your shift (open/close) you either have a bunch of stuff to do or you can relax a bit more when things are slow. Loved the team work aspect. They are VERY focused on customer service.

Starbucks is a fantastic company to work for. You get great healthcare benefits, you are always busy so you never get bored, and management is supportive and encouraging. The only downside I'd say is you must be loud and you must be confident. If you're shy, you need to be able to put an act on and act cheery and friendly. If you are not good with fast paced and always moving, do not apply. But for people who like to keep busy and moving, this job is perfect. The customers are usually always amazing, there are some negative ones for sure. There is support when you ask for it, and asking questions even as a senior staff is encouraged and welcomed. The best part is after you get through your new hire period, you get these amazing benefits (which actually are really good) and you only have to work 20 hours a week minimum to get them. Great place to work.

Free coffee is nice but the constant ridiculously high expectations required of minimum wage staff is crazy. Supervisors and assistant managers disciplined if a barista doesn’t preform for any reason.

Working at Starbucks was a opportunity for me to be more extroverted and meet new people. I liked the job culture, although I soon found that the management was picking on me and made me feel unappreciated and inadequate. I am glad I had the experience of working at Starbucks because it allowed me to grow and learn about the industry.

Amazing people to work with but absolutely horrible owners , the supervisors do the best they can but the owners don’t care about their staff in the slightest or if they even get hurt on the job , they’ll sass their employees out if they try to quit and make them promise they won’t , they refuse to pay overtime and will scream at their employees in front of customers and other staff

starbucks management has a nasty trend in certain districts with promoting/hiring predatory men, and keeping managers in the company who should have been fired years ago. the blatant use of “development tools” that are in fact tactics used to make you feel inadequate is also disgusting.

I lost my job as my store shut down and I couldn’t find a store in close proximity in time . Partners management and company is awesome. I enjoyed my 7 years year and I wanted to stay longer . But Rest assured Starbucks is one of the best companies to work for . Partner for life . Absolutely customer focused. And they do things so differently and a very creative company .

When I started Starbucks was an excellent company to work for with wages usually a dollar or two above minimum wage, great benefits and quarterly raises. When howie dropped out that’s when it went to... ya know. I worked my way up all the way, from barista to assistant manager usually having to work WAY above my pay grade and having it called a “development plan” when it was an excuse to take a load off of lazy managers so they could do something else other than actually look after their team. I worked at 5 different stores in my time and it was the same thing at every store, managers with a god complex, 30 year old shift supervisors that have been stuck there since the “glory days” and high schoolers that are in and out like a rotating door. It’s a typical fast food restaurant in a fancy dress, 9/10 the store you’re drinking your coffee at is FILTHY as no one properly cleans anything and you have to put up with ignorant customers all day. Don’t say anything though to defend yourself or a coworker, because no matter how many profanity’s, coffees, or slurs are thrown at you the customer is always right and how can we get another dollar outta them. It’s pretty hard to get fired from here so if you wanna do the bare minimum for a bare minimum wage this jobs for you.

Everyone was very nice, but the management was messed and very rude. Coworkers were wonderful, also the customers always came in, with a very bad mood and took things out on u which is unfair.

I worked at Starbucks for nearly 6 years and was let go because of a silly mistake that in my opinion should have been a warning. They jumped to separation because of “damaging the brand”. I poured my life into this job and gave the team I worked with and the company my 150%. You mean nothing to a corporation like this. Always remember that.

This location has a history of hiring managers that are either passive aggressive or openly hostile toward partners. The current one has broken down crying on the outdoor patio and within sight of drive thru customers! Who hires these people?! The partners are overworked, under-staffed, and under-paid. The Starbucks model is straight out of the sweatshop handbook. Run, do not work here!

Amazing job, got to work alongside friends. Left for higher education, a part of me wishes I hadn't. I love Starbucks' management style, but they need to take out the bad eggs.

Starbucks is both a good place to work if you need a flexible schedule and a place to grow a career. The management is very open about helping you better your craft and where you want to go within the company. Of course, the environment depends on who you work with, but overall as a company, it comes recommended.

Work was super fast paced. Lots of pressure on good customer connections but also short drive thru times, kind of contradictory. Fun part time job, especially for students. Seemed to be disconnect with management and work/life balance.

I really enjoyed my time at Starbucks. Management was respectful and supportive and opportunities for advancement were offered regularly. The work was fast-paced but assistance was always available because of the teamwork-oriented culture and friendly coworkers. Everyone had each other's back and maintained a high level of professionalism.

Morning shift and night shift are constantly fighting. Store is constantly understaffed on both baristas and supervisors, upper management doesn't want to promote anybody to the point where there hasn't been a promotion in a year and a half in my store. Management will promise you 40 hour weeks and then give you 20, they'll also promise you an interview to advance with the company and never follow through.Customers will degrade and harass you for the smallest inconveniences, such as not having autumn drinks in February.2 years ago I would have recommended this job to everyone I know, now I wouldn't even recommend it to my most desperate friends. Starbucks will squeeze every bit of soul it can out of you.

Working at Starbucks can be really fun, it is hard to have a work life balance if you’re working full-time. Sometimes it is overwhelming with everything you have to do each day, your coworkers make your shifts a lot more fun.The great thing about this company is you can move up to management quickly if you put in time and effort. I also love that we except everyone and never judge.

If you want to be treated like a coffee peddling puppet and you enjoy cult-like atmospheres this is the job for you. The management is always cr*p but you might meet some good people along the way. Very low quality food for astronomical prices and they keep rising. It is a solid job but will kill your soul. Good luck!
