Doesn't make you feel appreciated. They make you apologize to customers who are clearly in the wrong. They call you "partner" but that's the last thing you feel treated as.

Starbucks has a seamless communication structure that allows for fast and efficient information distribution to all partners at their appropriate levels. The training and mentorship that you will receive during your onboarding and throughout your career is second to none. Of course, the human aspect of the job pre determines conflict however the conflict resolution training and the companies dedication to their safe space policy truly does allow for a very cohesive and harmonious workplace.

I had a positive experience working at this beautiful store in the vieux port of Montreal. I enjoyed my coworkers but found that upper-management was lacking. They became very pushy for suggestive selling towards the end, which was unpleasant for staff as well as customers.

I was recruited by the manager at my usual location. The team seemed to enjoy it and I wanted to start the job hunt soon after my company announced its closure. I had a good experience through the interview process and the first few weeks of training before going to my assigned location things changed quickly. The assistant manager would talk to me as if I were a child and would clap.after.each.word. I asked her to not do that as it was inappropriate and she said she would. I gave the store manager a heads up as thi was rude and not in keeping with Starbucks values and if she did it to me then she was most likely doing it to others. A few weeks late the district manager, store manager and assistant were in the cafe and hey were taking a meeting while it was busy. I was running the floor getting customers helped, cleaning the cafes, getting the product pulled for the next day and doing the order for th next delivery. And the assistant manager comes to me and stands in the door way between the cafe and the back room and says to me go.sweep.the.cafe.now. And clapped after each word. I said that it would get it done as soon as we had the staff available and the customers had speed down a bit. She returned to the meeting in the cafe. 10 mins later she came back and stopped me between tasks and told me to go.sweep.the.cafe.now. This was in front of another team member. She returned to the table, I took off my apron and grabbed my purse and went to the cafe and interrupted the meeting. I said that you.cant.talk.to.people.like.they.ate.2.years.old. And clapped after each word just - plus...
