Avis d'employé sur Starbucks
Fun workplace depending on co workers.
Simple job if you decide to stay as a barista. Shift supervisor responsibilities very stressful, especially in high volume stores. You get weekly free coffee and learn a lot about the processing and culture of coffee beans.

The company is great because you get benefits but if you have a bad manager like it was the case for me it's horrible. It took them 2 years to finally fire her, which was unfortunate because so many great employees left because of her. It's a fast paced job, requires memorization but when you have a great team (other than the manager situation) you will love it. Great first job and lots of opportunities to advance in the company.
benefits, free drinks and coffee
can be very hectic
Management turnover is ridiculous. The company goals changed half way through my time working there. The environment went from people enjoying their jobs to constantly stressing about when your next write-up would be. HR is not your friend for complaints about your manager nor will your district manager help. If you find a store with a great manager who will support you then I say go for it - but it’s few and far between. They lost me as an employee as well as a customer.

As a student Starbucks is a great place to work to grow in many ways. Selling coffees are not just the main issue but personal development is cared by Starbucks. The trainings are given are very well prepared and easy to understand and convert to real life. Also, there is regular performance meetings which can be very influential for long run development.
