I suggest that the Starbucks building be attached to a massage hall
Practice your company values across all levels of staff, not just your entry level.
Stop approving shorter drive thru times, because it cuts out the customer connection with both cafe customers and drive thru customers. Both end up feeling unappreciated in the end.
Bringing back former employees if possible
Improve working conditions.
Include menu options that are informed by Health Canada. Cater to the market ie., gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, high-protein, low-carb.
Implement green solutions ie., recycling, compost disposal, trash sorting.
Donate close to expiry food to shelters and food banks.
Provide better pay for your staff to decrease turnover rates.
The only advice I would give to the CEO would be to pay people better. There are many places in the world where employees are getting paid enough to support themselves. For some reason, Canada is not on that list, but I would love to see Starbucks be the front-runner for this change. Give your employees a living wage, something that allows them to stay working for you, and raise the standard for the type of employee you would like to hire. Make sure they're deserving of the higher wage!
The other thing I would recommend is to allow your employees to take home some of the food that is normally thrown away or donated at the end of the night. Being that they are not making a lot of money to run the company, it would be helpful on their grocery bills to be granted the ability to take home some of the sandwiches, etc that do sometimes get thrown away, etc.
