Je n’ai jamais vraiment reçu de formation pour effectuer tout le travail que je devais accomplir, ce qui m’a amenée à démissionner après presqu’un an. Pas d’encadrement, d’aide ou de support.
Terminer tôt la fin de semaine

Staples Rexdale did 3 interviews with me, which I originally thought to be excessive. I've now come to appreciate how thoroughly they screen their employees to ensure that we fit into the culture of the store. Some of my favourite people are my old coworkers from Staples, and I was always excited to go to work.
AT the staples I worked at the copy centre was mixed with the cash so employees in the copy centre were assumed to do both jobs which is fine except when you are bus and everyone else is doing nothing but standing around and talking and you are still expected to cash someone out when everyone in the store is more than qualified to do so.

If you want to get started in retail this is the place to go. Easy to get hired and easy to move around within the company once in the door. Lots of opportunity to learn printing services, tech services and general merchandise. Management was a bit confused and was going through a lot of turn over.
I loved being able to assist customers with their technology and stationery needs in many capacities. The management was always positive and encouraging and constantly showed ways to improve.
Part-time benefits after 3 months
Large store to acclimate to
This was my first ever paid job. I learned and grew a lot while working at Staples. I spent my time on the sales floor which in the beginning wasn't my strongest attribute. The employees that I worked with were great and helped with anything I needed. Overall a good workplace.
To give you an idea of where I was when I was finally employed by this dear company here, I had applied to every job within a 20km radius for the past month before I decided to settle on an unpaid internship here. I was disappointed, but I hustled, and I hustled my way into full-time summer employment in a month! My managers, god bless their souls, had their eyes on me 24/7, not an ounce of hard work was lost on them! End of the day, I had to quit in October of to pursue higher grades, but I miss this place to this day! In fact, I'm currently pursuing a return to a different Staple's location! WIsh me luck!
pizza parties, proximity to lunch spots, long convenient breaks, flexible washroom hours, fun work environment
Extremely stressful back to school time, and customers could definitely be a mouthful somedays!
dealing with all types of customers from thieves to business-men in suits the staff is usually friendly, polite and diverse lots of communication skills are learned here come in dressed nicely and try to have a 1 on 1 talk with a manager. Give them your resume and have a separate page with your availability this job is great for those seeking part time work while pursuing education working here in managerial positions can be a rewarding experience or it can be a nightmare, depends on the day. Supervisor positions are under-paid and moving up to manager requires leadership skills and patience.
Management is biased and will pick favourites - very obvious who is better because they get scheduled lots. No advancement but you can ask to be cross-trained. Only busy during back to school season but that’s it. If you like a growing environment, would not recommend this company.
