HR won't even talk to you until they have a copy of an up-to-date Driver's Abstract, which is immediately asking for private/personal information before you even have your first chance to ask questions about whether or not you're even interested in the position. Look elsewhere.

- 9-1/2 to 11 hours per day (not 8 as HR claims) - Starting wage should be at least $20, not $17 - Repetitive lifting of boxes (reams of paper) - Regional driving only (no out of town) - Elody's HR tactics are slick
Points positifs
Autonomy, Stable Employment
Points négatifs
Pay, Repetitive Lifting

Regardless of how young and fit you are, or how much time you have, don't believe HR when they tell you that you'll only be working 8-hour shifts. Theirs a reason they ask you if you have flexible hours between 6am and 6pm. Unless theirs unforeseen circumstances, you don't return to the depot until your truck is empty, which on average is anywhere between 9-1/2 to 11 hours per day. Add bad weather into the mix and kiss your life goodbye. 50~ish stops per day, which is ridiculous for the amount of heavy lifting involved; manly boxes of paper, sometimes office furniture. Zero work/life balance, except for having weekends off. Starting wage of $17 an hour. Horrible pay and increase structure. Anything less than $20 an hour is less than a living wage. If you're young and naive, knock yourself out. If you're over 25 or have a family, look elsewhere.

Mississauga is the busiest hub in Canada You will be moving boxes of paper (50lbs +) ea by the skid load(2000lbs+). Hand delivery. Everyday. You WILL work until you are finished your route. You will not find respect until at least a year on the job. Most of your training is on the run. Trucks are ALWAYS a problem..YOURS Busy season is murder!!
Points positifs
99% great customers, decent wages, decent benefits
Points négatifs
The busy season, management

Start my morning with regular paper work, as pre-trip for vehicle. Check stops per day and place I suppose to deliver products to our costumers. I've learnt to be on time to start my day. and I learnt how to train new employee, also learnt about the delivery procedures. My co-workers are the best, they're fun, outgoing personality, supportive, respectful and we keep in touch. There is not a hard part about the job, but when I started the job it was a bit hard on me because it was new thing for me to learn it with a short time, but I am proud of myself to do it on my own within 3 months period, without anyone training me. The most enjoyable part about the job is the job itself.
