The job was pretty simple to be honest. As long as you have a decent knowledge about technology and a good sales attitude you will get decent numbers. The down side is there is no commission which results in no real reason to sell
Just as the title says, if your manager is great: you will have an amazing job and vice-versa. Hope that you don't have to face the situation like coronavirus and stuff or you will soon see the bad side of the upper management, who kinda suck at communication with employees and benefits as well. Typical day: 1-You enter the sales floor. 2- It is super slow --> you do all extra tasks like cleaning the isles and stuff. It gets busy --> Now you have to handle 2 customers at once (not stressful though). 3- Some associates can be toxic, but it is 1/10 and hence no issues. 4- Most enjoyable part: When you upsell (relevant products) and all goes well. 5- Management: My General manager is great, Upper management: Cant' say much good about those guys (Neutral to bad).
Don’t work here unless you want to be belittled constantly. Not one of the managers are on the same page, and they have extremely unrealistic expectations. And if I do reach those expectations, don’t expect a thank you or anything of the sort, they just expect more from you. If they don’t like you, they’ll cut your hours, to un-liveable amounts. Don’t work here unless you’re prepared for ridiculing and bullying.
Great staff to work and learn with. Always a lot to do and different types of jobs to keep you occupied. Great benefits and team building events for employees. Very fast paced.

The staff and managers were very personable and I enjoyed every shift. I felt good after every shift, and breaks were distributed evenly. The hardest part of the job was product knowledge, however I enjoyed learning new things.
Break Schedules were Pristine
Management lacked communication & leadership skills.Staples Mission Statement, Core Beliefs & Values were not clearly outlined when hired or anytime throughout my work period there. It was full of people with great personalities & a customer base that kept habitually came back. It was not hard work at all, the hardest part was communicating between managers.
