I was caring for my mother, I was forced to work weekend. Ultimately I was given a choice to give the hours they wanted or leave. They even wrote the wrong reason in my employement record saying it was mutual, when it wasn't. After dealing with personal issues I had notify the ceo of major flaws that had happen at store levels, i was pushed out of the compagny for no good reason.
hr will not care what happens in you're life, you have to have open availability
Keeping safety of employee and customers during pandemic situation. Great service provided with extended warranty, accidental plans, tech support services, monthly and yearly easy care plan.
Helps if any questions, solves all the problems of the customer. Insist on taking breaks on time.

The does not appreciate the talent and doesnot help for growth with in the company. If they hire new talent, they would pay more but not to a loyal company employee. Management not cooperative. Work culture is good, you will enjoy working with colleagues. Company does not offer great benefits compared to other similar retailers.
Overall it was good. If you work hard and meet target, there are some decent pay bonuses. They do regional contests regularly. It's a great job if you like people, and know your product. My only complaint is that our store went through 2 store managers in a little over a year. This created some instability as systems and procedures were regularly being changed.

-Day to Day activities involve -Daily ordering of inventory -Analyzing metrics on category / business -Answering emails and phone calls -Create features for upcoming flyers, measuring the success of previous flyers -Building relationships with new vendors and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
A typical day at work involved constant communication with customers, organizing of new and old inventories, and short meetings with co-workers and managers. As a sales floor associate it was my duty to educate customers about our products and direct them to the right solution. If I was ever in a situation where I was unable to help a customer, or if a coworker faced the same situation, we could always count on our sales floor team to be there for one another and assist each other in any way possible. The entire experience at Staples was an enjoyable one; it was an extremely valuable learning opportunity and I enjoyed every minute of it.
