Not worth it, support is not here. Will pretend to be there and when it matters they don’t help. Extremely high demands to meet sale goals and zero reward for doing it not even a real pat on the back
Good work life absolutely nothing else
You need to do everything and no one cares or thanks you for going way above and beyond
Each store manager is able to interpret the management of the store in their own way, particularly if they meet sales targets. I saw managers hitting on young girls to the point of them quitting because they knew their complaints would not be dealt with or believed. An inept employee who was good at smiling and being demure to male superiors was promoted over a staff member who was more knowledgeable and sales proficient, but not as attractive. It is apparently easier to promote dummies and leave the competent people to do the real work so as to avoid trying to replace the better employees. Avoid all Staples as you end up working for managers that are only interested in getting financial rewards at your expense. You may get a gift card for $25 while they get a nice bonus.
work experience for students but not a career.
Anyone above a lead sales associate
This job is very demanding but also very rewarding and enjoyable. It takes a very strong level headed leader who can manage a team and multiple projects as well as liason between clientele and outside sources.
great team, benefits, hours, culture, atmosphere
a lot of pressure to not make any mistakes
For a retail store its very nice. Never too stressful, very flexible schedule and you meet great people. Salary is minimum wage, which is okay for a first job, maybe not for a longtime career. Benefits are great!
Great Job, Great people, Flexible Schedule

I really loved working at Staples. I did my high school co-cop placement there and so did my friend. It was really good! The people are really nice, and the management at the time gave us free supplies because she liked us so much.
I thoroughly enjoyed working at Staples. I was a co-op student there in high school and was hired on permanently after that. I loved working in the copy centre and preparing orders for customers. there were frequently difficult customers and moody people to deal with but I always looked forward to going to work. My team of co-workers were great and I learned a lot about myself during my work there. Dealing with machines and different orders was fun because of the challenge and also the reward of a satisfied customer.
Great learning experience. You were made to feel like you were a welcome addition to their store set-up. It felt like a team and a 'Family'. Met incredible senior staff and other employees from other Staples retail outlets whom were so helpful, complimentary and able to give constructive meaningful suggestions and criticism when necessary. Your strengths were recognized. When those strengths were identified, they placed you in an area where you could truly excel. You were praised continually for great work and or for taking initiative when not asked. My then temporary position was continually extended. I truly felt valued and respected on ALL levels. The enjoyable part was recognizing that you were part of an important milestone in the new store's existence. Also, many of the supervisors from other locations were helpful, and not afraid to teach you how to use things (hand held scanners), and made everyday different and unforgettable. The sense of humour everyone had was contagious in a very good way. The hardest part of the job was when I realized it was my last day. I really loved working with everyone. Overall: fantastic!
