Strength: you can really make a difference. talented colleagues in all dept, learn alot, project oriented during down time, beautiful office, gym, shower, pick up breakfast, beer friday, bagel Monday, coffee with a colleague (platform to meet your colleagues), flexible schedule


Weakness: Lack of direction and vision from most in management position, path to promotions unclear. location sucks, sense of purpose and social responsibility low.

Definitely not a pro-employee company. They consider their business as essential even though they are selling LUXURY goods and they have the audacity to operate on Sundays (while essential businesses like grocery stores are closed). Some employees tested positive for covid-19 and it is still business as usual. Employees are not compensated fairly. The new dining area looks like prison. Bad management. You are gonna be walking (picking goods) for 12 hours in a 3-story warehouse. They put so much pressure to their employees. Don't expect to get the bonus if you finish your contract 'coz they are gonna find a way (even the smallest mistake) to make you ineligible for it.

Stressful, terrible management, super unprofessional
They treat very bad with people and an unfriendly environment. I do not want to think about those days I was working hard and they want more and more like a robot.

This is a great place to work if you are seeking a company where you can build your skills and solve challenging problems. It's a place to build your toolkit and use it to find other internal roles (lots of internal mobility) or find other jobs with a fantastic resume.
The workplace culture is great. This is the most collaborative environment I've ever worked in and its also the most diverse (gender parity everywhere and strong representation of visible minorities).

Strong management and founders that are approachable and open. Anyone can go and strike up a conversation with them.

Free food is the only good thing about this place lol Keep an eye out on your car in the parking lot .

Make sure you wear gloves because the glue is toxic and the managers don't care about your health .

Very degrading and unmotivating place to work at. The supervisors who are meant to manage the place like to get all loud and give attitude to people but if you dish it back they look down on you as if how dare you. There’s absolutely no good system in place for how to do your work, it changes up every week and they wonder why theres many mistakes plus with all the new people coming in to start their new job. The coordinators who walk around and are supposed to motivate us and have everything in order are always in a bad mood, run away from you when you walk up to them to ask for help, when they do help you they respond back as if it should be obvious. The expectations these people have based off the training they provided us and the management skills is ridiculous. Specifically Mark (supervisor), who likes to flirt with the young pretty girls and they somehow get moved up to higher positions, gets angry when people speak amongst themselves while working but he sits at his desk and loves to laugh and be the funny guy with the women around his desk. But yet there’s still no organization whatsoever from none of the supervisors. Daniel (coordinator), is very unprofessional and doesn’t know how to work around people without being sarcastic or give some type of attitude. He once told me to watch my a** and that I was even privileged to have been switched, when he switched me to label distribution from the position I was currently in. The only tolerable thing out of all this was the co-workers. I have met some very nice people throughout my experience but unfortunately lost all motivation - plus...

Lol. I had to laugh at this place because none of the leads and coordinators know what they are doing. Honestly you’ll get yelled at every time. Also what they do is cut ppl right after the sale before your contract is over so they won’t have to pay you the $1000 they promised. Some days you might do nothing then there are days that you gonna be over worked. I would never recommend anyone to work there. The place is just too disorganized. The supervisors barely can speak the both languages of Canada.

You get paid for doing literally nothing on some days, and you meet tons of cool ppl from all over the world, Free cereal if you like that I guess

Too little salary. Disorganized asf! One Indian with the turban is annoying and reports everything.

I honestly don't know how the warehouse is still running, the supervisors don't seem to know what their doing most of the time. And the workload is random, you either work for 4 hours straight or do nothing there's no in-between
Points positifs
- getting judge by the supervisors ( heard one say, " the people here smell bad " ), - Bonus of 1000 $ at the end of the contract ( but if you're late once nothing for you )

- getting paid 3 week later because of system failure

Management team are not professional spatially in warehouse, if you work in warehouse you are second level citizen.
There is no room for grow up. Do not plan to go in and waste time to grow up there.

They will put some fruit and milk in cafeteria and in each meeting will emphasis we are nice with you we feed you and ...

In my experience (Dorval Warehouse), the worst thing about this company is that the HR personell they have in their front line all are in their 20s. And perhaps the 'higher management' thinks this is a good thing because a huge majority of the workforce at the Dorval Warehouse comes from the following groups of people: recent immigrants, recent refugees, international students, Canadian residents and Canadian citizens from ethnic groups, and almost all are in their 20s and most not even fluent in any of the official languages of Canada. And there is no HR personell with adequate experience to address any of the human issues concerning a workplace with more than 150 personell on any given shift.

There are so many human issues that this company blatantly ignores, perhaps due to lack of experience on the part of HR or perhaps due to lack of a vision on the part of the company, or perhaps designed so to save as many pennies as possible for the owners.


Here are just a few examples of the shortcomings on the part of this employer/company:


When the warehouse workers are enticed and hired on a contract, they are not informed by the rookie HR personell who hires tham that:


1) there is no proper space to hang their winter coats;


2) there is no secure place to keep their personal stuff (no lockers available to be assigned to temporary/contract workers);


3) the contract workers would not be adequately trained for any specific task because a proper training would take several days so what happens in actuality is that from the very second day contract workers are treated

It was a great experience working for SSENSE. There is a degree of ambiguity and flux but also a lot of opportunity. Management is down-to-earth and nurturing, raises are given fairly, and people are incredibly friendly and collaborative. The culture is progressive and positive (even during tougher times). I appreciated how well I was treated and would definitely recommend to friends.

I started working in the client experience team as my first job and i was on the phone ALL DAY - the ringing sound I would hear when I would get home. It was the worst experience, and if you left your desk for 5 minutes to go to the washroom you would get scolded for having put your time table to Away for too long. Terrible client complaints, worst management for client experience team, I feel bad for anyone who works there in that team and no one ever recommends it to everyone. People are not treated well, it is slavery work. Sometimes they asked you to come in on the weekends and work in a terrible call centre, questioned as to why some would miss a day due to sick leave, worst experience ever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE SAVE YOURSELVES AND YOU CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER!!!

so I started my first day at this company and the management style is terrible. first, they lead by fear and treat you like a child. also you can not talk to the supervisor or manager or even say good morning. if you do they will give a look of (how dare you). the second problem is the pay!! this company makes easily a million dollar a day yet they pay their employee minimum wage. I mean what do you expect of working in company founded by Arabs.

to sum it up they don't see you as human there!! you are a slave!!!!

All male managers pretty much, who play favourites. You will see some of the pretty girls promoted to basically just sit and watch the queue the whole time and yell at people to go online if they are off a call for more than a minute. It seems like the higher up in the department you get, the less work you actually do.

The position itself is pretty straightforward and easy. It's the managers and their incompetence that is the issue. It's like they are reinventing the wheel every time they are trying to introduce new mandates or improve existing policies.
Change is very slow or non-existent in this department, mostly because everything has to be run by the head manager (you will know who I am talking about) who is very close-minded to innovation. There is another young manager who is actually really cool, and he has lots of enthusiasm for the job and ideas, but unfortunately nothing seems to get implemented. The managers tend to deflect work- i.e. if there is a legitimate need for a manager call, they will all try to avoid it... so they can sit at the screen watching the queue. It's laughable how they even got into these positions, because they are not really effective at training or managing teams.

hardest part of job was not allowing to sit even when there is not any packing or order , standing all day was not healthy at all,

unprofessional and dishonest HR with snooty bad attitude and bad judgement. They hire people who can hardly speak english because they dress well over people with years of experience. they trick you into coming to interviews (in the middle of nowhere) for horrible jobs you didn't apply to. Bad judgement = bringing people with bachelors degrees to work in warehouse lol
