You should wear a nice likkle blouse if you are a girl with nice pants and flats, not running shoes you gotta dress like better than casual, like dressy. If you're a guy wear dress pants and nice collared shirt. This is very important because it's their first impression... I was among the 7 selected out of 30 because my apperanace played a factor.
The in person interviews are pretty chill, the manager is really chill, really the whole atmosphere of the store is chill! They ask you a couple questions, about your resume, a couple out of the box questions and mainly knowledge about sports :)
About 20 minutes long, pretty straight forward, had some questions about my resume, favourite sports, knowledge about sportchek, why I wanted to work there? Also some different questions like if I did not have instructions for a lego puzzle what would I do? Then a week later I recieved a call, and this process took about 3 weeks.
It took about 3 weeks first you apply online, then you wait for a call, I did not have a phone interview I applied and recieved a call 2 days after I applied online. I was asked if I would like an interview I accepted. I was a bit nervous about the interview but the manager was really chill. He told me that 30 others were applying and only 7 spots which was nerve wracking but it was ok :) Then a week later I recieved a call saying I got the job and can come in to sign the offer sheet.
Know your skills in which department you you are aiming for. I brushed up my knowledge about (skis, snowboards, skates... etc) to be able to work in the hardgoods department
