Great company culture and people, but underpaid
Softchoice is a great company to start at for your career in IT. You get to learn so much about the industry and meet with various vendors and partners, however the one complaint you'll hear from any rep is that they're underpaid and overworked.

Recommend to start your career here and then branch off to a more lucrative position at a vendor.

Terrible company
Beware! Do not work for this company for any reason. You will be used and replaced, and bullied by all management. It's a concentration camp in disguise.

I entered this position essentially fresh out of uni in hopes of moving up. However, you get treated like absolute garbage and everyone is afraid to speak up.


They try to advertise all the positives (free lunches, dogs in the building, free beer, etc) but none of it it worth it. The building smells like stale bread (partly because of the dogs but also because it used to be a bakery many years ago) and the pay is not worth the amount of work.


You can tell in everyone's face - no one enjoys working there!

An awesome place to learn how to properly perform a full sales cycle. A even better place to learn everything and anything about IT and how to position them to sell.They have a great friendly environment but expectation to sell is the upmost importance

Amazing company with dogs in the office all day, free food all the time, happy hours hosted by vendors.

High-stress sales environment. Long sales cycle, it takes a while to ramp up.

okay
Decent place to work, but constantly worried for job security. No work balance, make you work absurd hours with no compensation. Even on holidays and arent happy to let you take time off.

Favouritism runs deep in this organization
A lot of fluff and luck of the draw involved in this company. Great starting point but no longevity. Average tenure at the company was no more than 2-3 years.

Softchoice at the time was mainly focused on software and hardware selling and not SAAS. it has seen many changes since I was there. Sales roles are a perfect way to start career, and you learn many tools for future growth and dev. in career here.

Fun to work here
Its a pleasant place to at. Very innovative and colorful. The management looks after your needs and yo do not need to be formal in your approach. The hardest part of the job is the target set during training. you need to acheive your target to get deployed into your role. That gives you a reason to be worried about your job. Co-workers are extremely helpful and I learnt a lot of things at this place.

Good managers, difficult management model- potential of having multiple manager as an Inside Sales Rep. Directly reporting to Inside Manager but also responsible to Outside Managers.
Fair Salary- some potential to earn a little more on commission. Not enough more.
