Supervisor habitually humiliated staff (“you are allowed to go to the bathroom after serving three more customers”) in FRONT of customers. Would never train/correct employees privately - enjoyed publicly shaming people. Now the store is “urgently hiring”. I wonder if they will realize why they went thru 8 cashiers in 8 weeks?

They want to have part time staff , so no benefits are paid , no room for growth

Follow labour laws re: 8 hour shift with no lunch break. Alberta states it must be mutually agreed on to either have 2X 15 or 1X 30 minute, but Bonnyville doesn’t give you that choice.
Don’t correct employees on the floor in front of customers. One supervisor enjoyed humiliating staff- they went thru 8 cashiers in 8 weeks. I wonder if they will figure out why... ?

A shared fridge that can have random product for staff to eat and drink. A 1 hour lunch.

This will depend on what jurisdiction you reside in, but for a role such a courtesy clerk, the minimum is 14 while anything else is 16.

Calling employees donkeys, telling the employees you’re losing him a fortune daily. No respect or integrity shown towards employees
