Its a company you love to work with. Great work, great learning. You have great mentors to guide you. Best part is their open door policy. Would love to mention few lovely people I worked with. India Head : Friendly, you can go and discuss anything with him. He is more a friend to you. He keeps motivating you to upskill you skill sets. You are pushed to give certifications but with proper guidance. Company bares all the money. HR : One of her kind, not less than a super woman. She has such positive aura that keeps the office lively and happy. Any problem you discuss with her, she will definitely come back with a solution, also guides you when required. Never seen such a versatile multi talented HR. My career was great here. I would recommend this company to everyone.

Anybody looking to excel in their career should not work here, unless you are a newcomer or a new grad looking to put something on your resume.
Culture at SNAP is pathetic in terms of growing talent, raising morale or even having social gathering. They are cheap (xmas party in January), unorganized and lost in terms of the direction of where the company is heading. Quite frankly, I'm not surprised that there is such a high turnover rate and that you end up not introducing yourself to the new hires because you knew that they were going to leave in the next few months. They also tend to hand out glorified titles to questionable people in the company who do NOT deserve them because they are incompetent. If you find yourself applying at SNAP, make sure you have everything in writing because they don't honor anything you were promised.

The management has absolutely no idea where the company is heading and what the market place is heading. For example, they started and aggressively expanded into auto loan market and less than a year later retreated from the market segment when they were losing money big time. The Portfolio Manager has no idea what she is doing and expects other to clean up her mess. Oh, she is the sister of the owner and other employees gave her the nick name - princess.

The company doesn't provide good work-life balance and would frequently ask you to work overtime and don't compensate with the much extra hours/efforts put by employees.
Some of the projects involves only repeated testing activities and there is no learning curve at all.

This company is good for gaining experience but there is minimum room for growth in the company and they do not pay well. They need to pay their employees more and invest in them. High turn over rate as well

Really enjoyed working there and great people to work with. The manager was great and work-life balance was good. They had great work environment and nice coffee too.

You start work between 830am to 900am. Some tasks are very time sensitive and you are working with operational system, accounting system, data tool to prepare reports and handle requests. Sometimes you need to review other people's work. You take 1 hour lunch break and the office offers free coffee and a kitchen area for all. There is also a gym that you can use at your break time, before or after work. You are expect to stay until 5pm but you may work as long as you like.

You seldom see top management and they don't seem to realize you are in office but they know if you are not.


The fun part of the job is the job itself, working with data and that the information you are accumulating to help the business.

salary was below average. first impression was good with good people but team was small and understaffed so I ended up working over lunch a lot of the time. Then all the good people left, and they implemented a system that was completely different, with no training provided, we had to train while working, on a system that did not work. They then hired new staff which was horrible, rude, immature, basically bullies. Though management was good, it did not trickle down to the base. I feel there was many bad decision made. I also realized that this loan company was misinforming clients/customers and little short of robbing them of their money. I could no longer work there.

This is by far the most disorganized company i've worked for. Managers don't even know how to help you with your own work, they don't even properly train you, and they lie about your work being incomplete when they don't even tell you all the details. Every manager contradicts the other for the same task, and you never know if what you're doing is right or not. Staff are very unprofessional and swear often, and are annoying. Very incompetent managers who probably don't even have a high school diploma. You're constantly flooded with new tasks, and you're punished for not finishing them, but also punished for finishing them while slowing down your main tasks.

It's downtown with a nice environment, people "seem" to be cool.
Points négatifs
Everything: no job security, very bad management, unprofessionalism, malfunctioning equipment or software, issues with their systems, something to do with computers never working for your tasks, lack of communication, dishonesty.

was a great company to work for , good work life balance, opportunities to grow within the company, they shut down their auto finance sector hence had to start exploring other opportunities however was a delight to work for them.

The environment with my peers at Snap was positive. They were encouraging and helpful.
Change in management ( who did not understand the Canadian dynamic) had a negative impact on the moral of the staff and our ability to successfully do our jobs.

It is good company to work for, however, it is going through major changes. The CREDIT Department has been moved from Toronto to Vancouver.
