Do they give good vacation time during the summer? Looking to take 5-7 days off consecutively but only once.
They give the minimum of vacation by law (2 weeks- year for the first 5 years; then 3 weeks for the next 5 years.....they could be flexible it depends of the owner pharmacist. mine they did not authorise ANY any days off without salary. People who needed 4 weeks on the firts 5 years they had to resign an come back (they agree with that)
I tried going in person handing out resumes which didn't work out for me. But using workday gets me an interview call in three days. They will asked you to come next day on particular time.
Interview was easy, they asked these questions to me:
Tell me about yourself?
Why you want to work here?
What are your availability?
Are you okay with minimum wage?
Few questions from your resume about your previous role.
Recieved call back for job offer after one day.
Keep trying :)
I would give the employees the proper tools in which to do their jobs. Installing self checkouts and then cutting the hours of the people who keep the store running is poor business management. Employees are really tired of being told how their jobs should be done by people who have never worked at store level. It won't be long before Shopper's can't find anyone to work there... inconsistent and minimal hours for people who are expected to have four job titles in one shift while making minimum wage is a very bad look for a company that makes as much as Shoppers/Loblaws.

Adapting to my surroundings. Once I was comfortable within my section work was super fun!
Only skids for deliveries are heavy because they can range from just toilet paper to a whole order of Coca-Cola products. Everything else is fine as long as you know how to handle carts and pump trucks.
