Wonderful, motivated students 👍) positive learning environment! ♥️ Management can make judgement through hearsay, gossip- layers of buroucracy b4 you get through anyone. Talent, motivation, initiative are not nurtured; innovative ideas barely fostered due to managers' own insecurity. I would not work here again.
No progression/ poor management
Nobody comes to work. The offices are empty. No collegiality. Union passes veiled threats of laying off full-time faculty during COVID-19 when management might do some self-reflection on why there are so many of them with tyrannical management styles, incompetent leadership in times of crisis so many that warrant preferred parking spaces.
Try getting a bank loan if you just work from contract to contract. Even if you work for years, why should a bank support you if you your job won’t even claim you as one of theirs? Don’t get into academics! The union agreement says partial load jobs have job security, but because there are so many new full timers, which they did NOT hire from partial load, there are fewer and fewer partial load jobs. Management is sympathetic, they will even shed tears when they offer you fewer and fewer hours. If you are faculty, there is no path to promotion.
Not sure anymore
Part time faculty are place fillers and not valued
The material is often prepared in advance and the the staff and other professors are extremely supportive in their efforts to help both student and new staff succeed.
Marking lots of papers in a timely fashion

Students were lovely and great class sizes but this is a very lonely place to teach with absolutely no guarantees for job advancement or job security. Although the odd person is helpful the administration and management have high expectations on each teacher yet provide very little guidance or assistance. Furthermore, the turn over rate is high for contract workers and they are made to feel like they are not valued, required or appreciated (only full timers seem to matter) yet these workers are still required to attend meetings and provide ideas and feedback. These seems counter productive and adds a lot of stress to the individual worker.
high level of anxiety due to lack of job security
I teach part-time as needed. Everyone on staff is wonderful and extremely supportive. Students are fantastic. The facilities are new and very modern, depending on which campus you are at. It is very competitive and hard to get regular courses
Great staff, new high-tech facilities
Contracts are hard to get as are regular courses
Teaching adult learners. Review of concepts previously covered. Discussion of agenda for learning for the evening session. Oral presentations: students have prepared oral presentations on themes related to our course of study. New concepts: French discussion of new grammar skills and reinforcement of these skills in oral and written activities. Oral discussions about current events including debates on topics the students have chosen.
Satisfaction; Feed-back from students; working environment.
Great working environment and very supportive staff. Very good academic and B.A. programs.
very professional organization
no job security
