I liked the job considering that it worked with my school schedule and also gave me time to work on other school related work while on the job. It does get quiet after the first month of every semester since there are new students applying for a onecard.
Wonderful, motivated students 👍) positive learning environment! ♥️ Management can make judgement through hearsay, gossip- layers of buroucracy b4 you get through anyone. Talent, motivation, initiative are not nurtured; innovative ideas barely fostered due to managers' own insecurity. I would not work here again.
No progression/ poor management
Although I did not get a tutee yet, I feel excited that I applied as a Peer Tutor. With this experience, I will be able to help other students and share study tips and knowledge I have when I had the course. God bless the institution and thank you for having me.
They have flexible time schedules which allow students to retain their study time table and focus on studies while earning some extra. the work environment is healthy which makes you enjoy working.
Enjoyed working with management team and students to create a comfortable and safe teaching environment. Given flexibility to teach using curriculum and guidelines learned through education. Provided courses to enhance learning.
Students were lovely and great class sizes but this is a very lonely place to teach with absolutely no guarantees for job advancement or job security. Although the odd person is helpful the administration and management have high expectations on each teacher yet provide very little guidance or assistance. Furthermore, the turn over rate is high for contract workers and they are made to feel like they are not valued, required or appreciated (only full timers seem to matter) yet these workers are still required to attend meetings and provide ideas and feedback. These seems counter productive and adds a lot of stress to the individual worker.
high level of anxiety due to lack of job security
I have enjoyed working as a library assistant and being part of this college. One of the hardest part of a job is to handle a lot of pressure at the same time. I have trained myself in a way that I know when it is difficult and time to become proactive in those situations.
