They pretend they care, but at the end of the day the people that have been there 10+ years will always just have each others backs. new ideas and innovation is not welcome here, they just like to copy paste and repeat.
During last major restructure, old supervisor was brought on after we ran without manager for half a year. Then he proceeded to suck all the culture and fun out of the place. Followed this up by making us fire half our teams, then memo’ing and intimidating supervisors to quit or hang on and get fired with no payout. Really disappointing end to what I thought was a blossoming career

Nowadays, many companies put as much pressure as possible on their employees in order to achieve high levels of performance, although this level of pressure often has the opposite effect in regards to the productivity of employees. Meanwhile, many studies have shown that a positive work environment has an advantageous effect for all involved. Not only does this mean improved health for employees as well as managers, including a general sense of wellbeing, but the overall productivity throughout the company can also benefit greatly from positive work environments.
