worked for 10 yrs and was laid off with 200-300 other vested employees (2015) and lost my pension. they turned around and hired 1200 entry level workers. I was also 2 yrs away from retirement. just to put thing in perspective. one of the major shareholders of Shaw Communications, one of the brothers retired i believe in 2013 or 14 with a pension of $16000 a day. yes $16000/day. these people are increadibly out of touch and extremely greedy. I personally would not recommend working for Shaw unless you have a coniving and devious attitude toward the public and you will be successful. these type of people were the ones that got the promotions for the most part. The culture changed from when i first worked there, they were always touting a family type atmosphere. now its all the bottom line. people that run that company are akin to the Koch brothers in the USA.

|I enjoyed working at Shaw. Working in the business sales team I had the chance to collaborate with colleagues to be strategic in obtaining large business contracts to provide phone and internet services as well as hardware for the business to run smoothly. The job was challenging at times when we had to do build projects but overall it was very rewarding.
