I had the opportunity to work with people from various cultures, countries,LGBQT in a spirit openness, friendship and teamwork. I was sad when they decided to close down the Call Center and move it out of province.

was a tsr at shaw Edmonton , great job great place until they canned everyone is Alberta. good pay good benefits. bad management. would not ship alberta jobs to bc and winnipeg.

Going down hill

If you asked me a year ago I would have given a full 5 stars. But management is going down the path of outsourcing. The culture has died and it feels like a more of bad energy. The benefits are good but at this point that's all that's left. It feels like a sinking ship.

Overall an excellent organization to be with. Good supervisory guidance and support. Co-workers co-operative and concerned with providing client support. They have good training program for new employees as well as training for upgrading your skills as you progress. Company provides a comprehensive benefits package of services, health and medical. They are also is very active in the community and national charities. The management organization is supportive and in very interested in ensuring an excellent service for their clients and investors as well as ensuring employee are knowledgeable of the direction the company is going.

I worked for Shaw Direct for 7 years and while I didn't always agree with the company's choice I enjoyed my time there. The benefits and salary were great and I advanced several times to different and challenging positions. Unfortunately I was a part of the massive layoffs in June of 2015.

Shaw cable is a great company to work for. They are very flexible with scheduling and the company has great benefits. The training was great, and as I started out on my own as a Technical Representative I learned more with the help of supervisors and support. The co-workers are so friendly and fun to work with. There was nothing hard about my job, only thing you needed to know was how to get your resources to trouble shoot.

Working for Shaw was a mixed experience. They went through so many changes to philosophy, key focus, and management through my 4 years there that there was very little consistency. Shaw is very quick to shift gears when they feel any sort of pressure, and not always for the best.
The job itself was typical call centre fare, but the tools require a massive update.
The training was acceptable, but very little was done to keep existing staff up to date on new hardware.
Little room for advancement into management, and poorly designed career pathing.
Steady work, normal hours and below average but not bad wages.
Acceptable work for getting it on a resume, but not a career-making company.

Fun work place with supportive management. Not all about the numbers but how you personally grow and develop. Decent amount of red tape and politics, but this is expected of a big company.
