management only communicated superficially with staff. We were continually receiving conflicting mandates and there was a culture of surveillance towards the end as they looked to reduce staff before a corporate relocation to Calgary by disciplinary firings.

Learned with the Company of all the new technologies. Was a good family based company with family values, that had excellent rate of retaining customers and had great customer service. Rapid expansion left the (people powered) theme behind.

The job was great, as I enjoy dealing with customers, but management were actually a detriment to productivity. Most of the day was spent solving customers inquiries such as adding or removing service, solving billing issues.

Call Center environment, fun, friendly, loved coming to work and seeing long time co workers and staff. There were many sales incentives that made the job more enjoyable.The hardest part of that job was last few months of working at Shaw, know our last few months were coming to an end.

I would answer questions from customers as well as address any concerns they have had about service or their bills. Supervisors and co-workers had generally pleasant relationships, and drama wasnt tolerated. The most difficult part of the job was staying cheerful and on point for each call, especially after a particularly bad one. The best part were the meetings and team building. Things like potlucks, pizza parties, games days etc.

I answer calls, make payment arrangements, explain the bill. This is a great company but this is a good job if you don't need guaranteed income, and are great with sales. It's part time, so the hours are flexible. It's shift work, so every week, it's a different schedule.
