It was my first call centre job and it was actually quite nice. There was a lot of team building and good times for the employees. Something changed a year into the job where management restructured and the vibe was different. It might have changed now but we wouldn't know as they closed down the alberta call centres.

Provided on site training that development skills to manage customer inquiries faster and more knowledgably. Supervisors we're on hand at any time however did sometimes provide a preference to who received help based on how long you had been there.

A typical day at work varies, however the nature of job is repetitive. I learned plenty of effective communication skills, working independently and with a team. The higher management was not so great, but some of my supervisors were just amazing! they always provided me with great feedbacks and future learning opportunities. My co-workers were mostly students, I get along with almost everyone. Hardest part of the job was to know detailed process of the CBS system. We often had fun activities on the weekends. work life balance was not so great. we all got laid off!!

I was a csr that took calls from customers in all aspects of cable, from installs to disconects and concerns that arose throughout the call if needed. Handled all discrepensies with the utmost privacy and confidense of the call, handled large volume of calls on a daily basis. My co-workers were some of the best in the field we worked well together and helped when needed always there. Manegment was there but did not have a hands on where we were concerned, we handled most of the situations as they came up, we were empowered to make any calls that needed to be solved. The most enjoyable part of my job was helping new employees when needed or just making a customer who was having a bad day make them have a smile at the end of a difficult call. There were not alot of hard part of the job to deal with.
